Geometry—Logic Project This project will give you practice using some of the principles of logic that are necessary in geometry. For this project you will be required to: 1. Select THREE advertisements from a magazine or newspaper as the focus of this project. Please choose ads for things that are considered legal, moral, and appropriate for high school students. 2. Display your advertisement s on a half-sheet of poster board. B e creative! 3. Type and label the following sentences on the poster below each advertisement: A. A conditional statement of your choosing as suggested by your ad Be sure this statement is in if-then form. For example: If I pop Pringles, then the fun won't stop. B. The converse of your conditional statement. C. The inverse of your conditional statement. D. The contrapositive of your conditional statement. 4. For ONE of your ads, demonstrate the Law of Syllogism and the Law of Detachment in addition to writing the statements described above in Step 3. 5. Smmary: On a separate sheet of paper, type a brief summary of your project that answers the following questions. !rite one paragraph "or each advertisement# and ma$e sre yo ans%er all the &estions belo% "or each o" yor advertisements'  What do you think about this advertisement after examining it as a conditional, converse, inverse, and contrapositive? Is each statement true or false?  Is it a realistic advertisement? Does it make sense? Is it credible? Does it present a valid argument?  What did you learn about the use of logic in this advertisement you selected?
