Composition of UrineUrine is approximately 95% water. The other components of normal urine are the solutes that are dissolved in the water component of the urine. They are biochemicals that come from metabolism process of body and some chemical substances that come from food or drinking. Biochemicals from metabolism process of body is about 4% of urine, such as Urea, Creatinine, and Uric acid (C5H4N4O3.). The biochemicals found in urine are predominately the end-products of the nitrogen process. And another chemical substances that found in urine is only about 1% of urine, such as Sodium (Na+), Potassium (K+) and Chloride (Cl-). Other substances/molecules are usually found in urine, but depending on our bodys metabolism, and they are also found in small quantity such as carbohydrates, enzymes, fatty acids, hormones, pigments, and mucins (heavily glycosylated proteins found in the body), Ammoniums, Sulphates, and phosphates. The Quantity of them are very small, so they can be neglible because they present dont mean bad influenced of our body

Note: This is about the normal characteristics and constituents of urine. Abnormal components of urine are another topic.
