The North Carolina 2020 Boone Society Conference

and Reunion is an event that is packed with out

standing history, field trips, entertainment, and fellow

ship. The State has many Boone family historical sites,

and the best of them are on our agenda.

Let's start with our host hotel, Embassy Suites

in Winston Salem, NC. This hotel by Hilton is a great

property which includes all suites, a swimming pool,

ballrooms, and an atrium restaurant. We have acquired

a good price of $140.00 per night. This is $20.00 more

a night that the last event, but it includes a breakfast to

order for two. This makes it about the same prices as the

last event. It is located in the heart of downtown where

you can walk, shop, and dine nearby.

Hospitality Room

This year we will have a large room of 10 top

tables for casual conversations and resting after the

tours. We hope to have the traditional silent auction, and

anyone can bring donated items to be auctioned off for

the benefit of the Boone Society, Inc. There will be light

refreshments in the room. Auction winners must receive

your items by 4:00 PM on Saturday.

Wednesday, June 17th

Members will arrive at the hotel lobby where

a welcome table will be for signing in and receiving

event bags. We will have a welcome reception and

dinner that evening at 6:00 PM. Chairman of the Board

Robert Crum will give a presentation called "Return to

the Land of My Ancestors." It is an overview of North

Carolina in the mid-l 700s, where many of the Boone's

and related families lived. This will give an educational

background before the tours begin.

Educational Tours will be conducted Thursday

through Saturday. On Thursday and Friday, we plan

to have people on buses by 9:00 AM and back to the

hotel by 3 :00 PM. Saturday will be a morning tour of

nearby Old Salem. The focus of the tours will be to tell

the story of the Boone's in North Carolina, beginning

Reunion attendance is open to all members, non-members and guests. Members of the Boone Society

receive a 5% discount. Explorer and Life Members receive an additional 10% discount. The registration

fee includes: bus tours, venue admissions, lunches (Thursday through Saturday), Wednesday night

dinner and the Saturday night banquet.

Thursday and Friday evening meals will be left to the individuals. Costs for lodging and travel expenses

are the responsibility of each person.

for the National Boone Society Group Rate. We have a block of rooms at a special rate of $149.00* per

night not including taxes (up to four person occupancy). We have a limited block of rooms so please
