From The

1SG

Throughout the month of February the E-3 Eagles have made large strides in various areas in which we, as a company, feel are vital to the growth, development and well being to us as a unit. Largely we have focused on the sense of team bonding with many events to assist with cohesion of the unit. Events include company dinners, outings, class events, physical competitions, and drives help draw the company together to work together to reach a common goal.

Developmental strides are constantly stressed from all pillars. Militarily, we hold briefings that will assist with life both during our time as cadets and post graduation. Physically, our physical development team loves to emphasize the notion of never being content and is constantly urging the "bettering" of oneself. Academically, our academic staff keeps us well balanced and reminds us that our studies in class are just as important as developing our soldier skills. They keep us organized and easily accessible to tutors, study sessions, and up to date on many large graded events in the future.

As a whole, the members of E-3 continue to make strides in bettering themselves , not only as individuals, but also in as a cohesive, balanced family.

From The

CO

Though it's less than 81 days until graduation, Eagle Firsties are buckling down, and the Eagles have some great things planned for the rest of the semester. Firstie-underclass teams are being built, so 2013 can pass on some of their (unremitting) knowledge to the underclass, while simultaneously attending Tactical Officer talks and briefings on their respective branches, preparing themselves to be more effective Lieutenants.

Eagles are reaching their "summer beach bodies" by putting time and effort in Arvin and morning workouts. E-3 Sandhurst is continuing its quest to bring the championship back to the Academy. In Company Athletics, our teams are off to a great start and looking at winning a couple of Brigade Championships this semester. Our Academics staff is hard at work as well, readying Eagles for impending battles with the Dean through study sessions, tutoring accreditation, and other events planned as well. As the summer approaches as well, we all know that means military schools, leadership details, CTLT, CLDT, and the best summer of your life, Camp Buckner. Sequestration aside, Eagle Military and Development staffs are preparing the Plebes, Yearlings, and Cows to harden themselves militarily and become more ready for their own graduation.

In all, we look forward to breaking out the short-sleeve As-for-Class and the White over gray as well, so that E-3 may continue to stiffen and straighten the Long Gray Line.
