POLYSOFT MAINTENANCE

PolySoft is an easy product to keep in pristine condition using normal floor maintenance

methods. With regular maintenance, your PolySoft investment will retain the inherent

high standards of wear and appearance for many years.

As with all flooring installations good housekeeping is essential. Spillage should be dealt

with as soon as practically possible. When spillage or soiling occurs maintenance can

be a simple remedial clean or if the soiling is extensive and well established a remedial

clean should be carried out. In all cases there are two types of contamination to deal

with.

1) Dry soiling - When a dry spillage occurs maintenance is a simple sweep or vacuum.

2) Wet soiling - When a wet spillage occurs it should first have the bulk of the spillage

removed, wiped or mopped. If the soiling is over a larger area PolySoft can be treated

with a neutral pH detergent then hosed down.

Where the contamination is established or extensive then a remedial clean can be

undertaken. Where this is the case, apply a neutral detergent using a mop and bucket,

agitate well with a soft/medium broom, then hose off.

PolySoft, due to its high bonding strength, can also be pressure washed or machine

cleaned. When machine cleaning smaller areas, a swing polisher/scrubber (without

vacuum), with a medium bristle brush can be used and on larger areas a walk behind

scrubber with similar brush can be used. Once the mechanical agitation is complete,

the area should be hosed off and in the case of a walk behind scrubber, extracted by

the machine.
