Coming into The Gifted Program at P.S. Dupont was one of the biggest life changes I have gone through. The arduous work has made me more prepared for tough time management and ready for high school and future courses. The Gifted Program was, by far, the best thing to have happened to my schooling. Angel Davis The challenging curriculum, different opinions of my classmates, and the students and teachers enthusiasm for learning allows for an enjoyable experience. I have been introduced to a more rigorous work ethic and I now understand that I will have to have a strong drive in order to succeed in life. Menelik Duey The heavy workload and difficult curriculum has forced me to be more organized and has molded my thinking process to adapt to a variety of assignments. I am thoroughly prepared for any higher-level high school education that I wish to apply to. Miranda Farnum Music String Orchestra, Mens Choir, and Steel Drums When I was in regular classes, I was one of the smartest so I didn't have a lot of competition and I felt that I wasnt challenged. When I came to the Gifted Program, I had a lot more competition and I was able to really improve academically. Disha Thakar The experiences provided by the Gifted Program have well prepared me for the obstacles I will face in the future. Challenging curriculum and a good amount of work has taught me to manage my time and become more organized, while still being able to balance out-of-school activities. Overall, the Gifted Program will leave me well prepared for the future both academically and socially. Hugh Underhill 8 th Grade New York Trip I am currently applying to the IB program which has a rigorous curriculum but I feel prepared since the Gifted Program is also very rigorous. Whenever I have a problem, the teachers will help in any way possible. It is easy to stay on task though because the kids in the program are all here for the same purpose and we are all working towards the same goal of academic success.
