Facts and figures Participiants: Schedule:1. Seniors: 9 members of age 55+, 1. Recruiting: from 8th of October2. Students: 19 members, nine and 2014 onwards eleven graders 2. The course: from the 30th 3. Guides: Zsuzsanna Brenner (BMK), of January 2015 to 13th of March Jzsef Soha, Gabriella Nagy 3. Micro projects: from the 20th (Gbor Bethlen Gimnzium) of March to the 24th of April 4. Evaluation and disseminaton: from the 8th of May to the 19th of October

Micro-project number 1:Title: V(iszony) (Viszony= relation; Iszony=dread)Problem: Students negative attitude towards compulsory community service and volunteer work in general.

Micro-solution: A survey was deliveredamongst students to map their needs and interests in relation to volunteer work. Organisations were searched for to meet their needs.

Micro-project number 2:Title: IT course for the elderlyProblem: IT skill gap between generationsMicro-solution: Students delivered sessions for the seniors to show how to use touch screen, how to download smartphone applications, etc

Micro-project number 3:Title: Brze (=Swapping circle)Problem: Students and seniors alike are worried about global warming and environmental issues. Part of solution: Reduce waste; reduce unnecessary production.Micro-solution: Students organised an event at school where anyone could swap used items

Micro-project number 4:Title: Career advisory projectProblem: Students fear of entering LIFE (Challenges of global labour market)Process: Students organised a chat show involving some elderly people to talk about their carrier and life story

Conclusions:For all participiants: Come on project really helped minimising stereotypes on both sides

For students: Learnt life skills ( timing, planning, self-evaluation, presentation)For the seniors: Improved IT skills

For guides: All microprojects could be continued

And finally let them talk for themselves
