THE PRINT FORMS, ARE THEY APPROPRIATE?

The way these print forms have been presented is appropriate because they portray the image of a crime drama. This has been down by having the main focus of the poster and the magazine cover being the serious expression on the hard nut’s face. This therefore gives the audience the correct impression of what our crime drama is about.

HOW CLEAR ARE THE PRINT MATERIALS? The print materials convey the genre of

our drama because the character portrays your typical criminal image. This is because he has a serious facial expression and is dressed in a baggy hoodie. This therefore relates to the crime thriller genre that we chose.

This image also portrays the criminal narratives that feature within our crime drama. This is because the criminal character facial expressions gives an insight into the stories that will be featured.

HOW EFFECTIVELY DO THEY SERVE AS A MARKETING TOOL? They work effectively as a marketing tool because the

main product itself and the print work relate. This is down through visual image. The criminal character featured within the trailer is also the main character featured on both pieces of my print work. This means its easy for the audience to identify the drama when they see one of the marketing pieces in public.

Another way in which they work as an effective marketing tool is that the visual image gives the audience an insight into the theme and feel of the drama. By the fierce facial expression of The Hard Nut character, the audience will be able to tell that there maybe violence and crime involved within the drama. If the audience member prefers these sort of narratives, it will hopefully persuade them to watch the film.

All these elements allow the audience to identify these marketing tools as ‘belonging together’ because they are visually similar. We’ve done this so the audience can identify the crime drama easily.
