ColoPrint® is a gene-based diagnostic test specific for patients with stage II colon cancer. ColoPrint provides information about the biologic features of your tumor and will indicate how likely it is for the cancer to return in the future. The test classifies patients with stage II colon cancer into two distinct groups – a Low Risk group (low risk of cancer returning) and a High Risk group (increased risk of cancer returning). This knowledge of your personal risk of relapse, combined with other clinical and pathologic characteristics will arm your physician with more specific information which puts you and your physician in a position to make the best treatment decision possible for you.

Agendia’s mission is to provide all colon cancer patients’ access to Agendia’s ColoPrint® Colon Cancer Gene Expression Signature. This test helps patients and physicians to understand treatment options and make more informed, completely personalized therapy decisions. Agendia understands that costs associated with a patient’s diagnosis, treatment, and management of their colon cancer can potentially pose a financial hardship which may influence a patient’s decision in selecting diagnostic and treatment options. The following information will inform you about any financial responsibility associated with performing the ColoPrint test.

Q: How much will I personally have to pay for my test(s)? A: Many insurance carriers cover most types of genomic testing for colon cancer. Each case is as unique as each patient, and the average out-of-pocket amount varies based on insurance benefits, what portion of your deductible has been met and your co-pay amounts. Many patients have NO out-of-pocket costs. For patients with insurance in effect at the time of testing, Agendia can provide you with an estimate of your financial responsibility based on your specific benefit levels.

Q: What are my payment options if I have a balance due? A: If payment is required after your insurance company pays, Agendia will send you a bill after a full review ensuring that the insurance company has processed the claim at the highest benefit level, thus minimizing any out of pocket expense. If you are interested in arranging an interest-free repayment plan, please contact the Agendia Reimbursement Assistance Program.

Q: What if I get a bill from Agendia for more than I expected? A: Please contact our Agendia Reimbursement Assistance Program so we can work to resolve the situation in an acceptable and timely manner. Q: My insurance company sent me something that looks like a bill for this test. Should I pay it? A: Your insurance company may send you one or more Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements related to our test(s). This is not a bill from Agendia. Agendia can submit an appeal(s) on your behalf during the claim review process. Each appeal submitted will generate an EOB from your insurance company. You do not have any financial obligation for the test, unless you receive a bill from Agendia Inc.
