Collaboration for New Paradigm of GI Stents
September 8-9, 2017 Grand Hyatt, Incheon, Korea
Organized by The Society of Gastrointestinal Intervention
Invitation
Dear friends and colleagues,
It is a great pleasure for us to welcome you to the 11th annual meeting of SGI which will be held in Grand
Hyatt Incheon Hotel on September 8-9, 2017.
Since the SGI took its first step in 2007, SGI has played an important role as the unique society of
multidisciplinary communication among radiologists, endoscopists and surgeons. We celebrated its 10th
anniversary in 2016 and we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to all SGI
members for their sincere and positive contribution and activities for 10 years. Now we believe it is time for
SGI to take a leap forward.
The scientific program of SGI 2017 will have lectures dealing with interesting and latest trends on stents
and debate about the treatment methods used in the field of gastroenterology, interventional radiology,
and surgery. Live demonstration sessions and consensus workshop about GI tract will be also provided as
previous meeting. The SGI Edelweiss Scholarship Program will give a good opportunity for young doctors from
developing countries having an exchange of information and experience new technology so we would like to
encourage you to submit your abstracts for potential oral or poster presentations.
We moved the venue of SGI 2017 to the Grand Hyatt Incheon Hotel which is close to the Incheon International
Airport for the convenience of international participants. A coast city, Incheon has many tourist attractions
and you can make your stay as memorable and enjoyable as possible by providing you with an opportunity to
have a first-hand observation of Korea, with its long historical tradition of 5,000 years.
Eagerly anticipating your continued cooperation for your active participation in the SGI 2017, we look forward
to seeing you in September in Incheon.
May peace and happiness be yours in the New Year!
Sincerely yours,
DongKi LeePresident, SGI 2017
