For the RFL, it serves as a highly effective communicationtool with its diverse coachingcommunity. Coachwise’s one-stop shop covering the entireproduction process, from initialdesign to print and mailing,meant the RFL could hand overcreation of the magazine,confident that it would bedelivered to deadline, on budgetand on brief.

The ResultsFeedback after the first yearwas incredibly encouraging,with an RFL survey showingover 70% of respondentsagreeing that the magazine hadsuccessfully filled a niche in themarket for rugby leaguecoaches and regularly helped to improve aspects of their coaching.

As a result of this, the RFL feltthat the magazine should bemade available in a format thatallowed greater flexibility indistribution in order to benefit alarger number of coaches.Coachwise advised on the bestway to do this and used ourdigital expertise to produce thepublication using the ‘turningpages’ system. The magazine,armed with vital RFL messages,is now being sent to the entireRFL coaching database, withthe potential of being seen byover 5000 coaches.

The FeedbackWith 70% of our coachestelling us that, during pilotstage, Coaching Matters hadencouraged them to seek out further developmentopportunities, it was clear thatCoachwise helped usproduce a winning product.

The next challenge was toensure this magazine reachedall our registered coaches,and Coachwise were again onhand to offer help and adviceabout digital publishing.

Coaching Matters is off to astrong start in 2013, and weare excited about the future.
