    Lifting CrusherLiners Safely

CME prides itself on not only providing industrybenchmark crusher liners, but also the safest liftingassemblies for quick, reliable and zero harm servicing.

CMEs proprietary LinerSafe crusher liners, designed foruse with CMEs LockLift and Safe-T Lift mantle liftingsystems, offer customers the optimal manganese steelgrade for the job, while providing customers with thesafest means available to remove and replace crusherliners.

    LinerSafe Product Line

MnElite: Range of 20 to 24-percent manganesesteel, setting the benchmark for high-performance,long-life wear products.

MnPremium: Mid-range 18-percent manganesesteel, striking a balance between wear life andoverall cost.

MnStandard: Range of 14 to 18-percentmanganese steel, providing a low cost option forapplications where wear rates are relatively low orwhere MTTR is not a significant factor.

Within each product range, CME is able to providemodified grades designed specifically to better suitindividual requirements, including Super Heavy Duty,High Toughness or Extended Life.

    ZERO

    HARMSome inherent hazards in

    changing crusher liners that

    have led to fatalities and

    disabilities include entering

    jaw crusher chambers and

    poorly welded lifting lugs.

    These hazards can be avoided

    with the use of CMEs

    LockLift and Safe-T Lift

    devices.

    LockLift

CME won the prestigious SKILLED SafetyInnovation Award for 2012 at the IFAP/CGUSafe Way Awards for our innovative LockLift

    lifting device.

Assessed on a qualitative basis by a judgingpanel, the SKILLED Safety Innovation Awardacknowledges CMEs strong commitment

to safety through the establishment andpractice of leading safety solutions within theworkplace.

    For Cone Crusher Liners

CMEs LockLift range of mantle lifters areutilised with CMEs LinerSafe range ofcrusher liners to allow the liner to be liftedthrough the centre hole of the mantle afterthe head nut is removed. All styles utilise ajacking arrangement to separate the head andmantle before lifting, to ensure that a fully

controlled lift takes place and that the liftinggear is not overloaded by lifting the headalong with the liner.

CMEs patent pending LockLift lifting systemhas been developed in response to safetyissues associated with welding lifting lugsonto crusher liners. By removing the needto weld on lifting lugs, CME can providecustomers with a safe, cost-effective solutionthat also reduces mantle change times.

All lifting components used in the LockLiftsystem are designed and proof load testedto Australian standards AS4991-2004 (LiftingDevices).

CME has developed LockLifts to suit allbrands of crusher, including Nordberg MetsoHP Series*, Raptor*, ElJay/Cedarapids MVP*,Symons*, Trio* and Fuller*. The design utilisedvaries between machine models.

All CME liner designs will be converted to

LinerSafe by the end of 2012.

    LockLift

    For Gyratory Crusher Liners

CME is able to provide the LockLift device forgyratory crushers that operate on the sameprinciples as other LockLift styles. The highcapacity jacking system can allow liners to beremoved from the mainshaft without cutting.Once the liner is freed from the head theLocklift can be used to remove the liner safely

    without welding.

All CME lifting devices are designed to complywith the following Australian standards:

    AS4991: Lifting Devices

    AS3990: Mechanical Equipment Steelwork

    AS1418.1: Cranes GeneralRequirements

    Safe-T Lift

    For Jaw Crusher Liners

Developed by CME, the Safe-T lift is a captivelifter that locates into a specially cast hole inthe jaw. The lifter is inserted into the jaw at 90degrees to the axis of the jaw, and then turnedupwards to lock it into place. All this can bedone without entering the crushing chamber.Safe-T lift can be designed to allow jaws tohang at the exact jawstock angle, makinginstallation easier.
