International Journal of Health Research and Medico Legal Practice (IJHRMLP) is a peer-reviewed multi-disciplinary indexed international journal and has been indexed in more than 25 indexing databases including Index Copernicus, Poland (ICV 2015: ICV 2016: 69.93) and DOI. IJHRMLP is dedicated towards the upgradation of health sciences and related disciplines.

This time, ‘IJHRMLP Academic Group’, is hosting a CME on “Geriatric Care and Social Responsibility” on 27th January, 2018. This is the first time in Gauhati that a CME on Geriatric care has been planned wherein a team of multi-disciplinary experts are going to address the various issues related to old age.

Geriatric care is quite different from standard medical care. However, there is very limited exposure to geriatric care in undergraduate medical curriculum and other paraprofessional curriculum. Along with the medical domains, the societal and legal factors influence the health and well-being of the elderly. A holistic approach is the need of the hour. Hence, a need has been felt to orient the professionals to standard geriatric care and issues in old age so that our elders get an integrated, quality care. We therefore take this opportunity to invite you all to participate in this mega event.
