Dear Hiring Manager, As a student from University of Texas at Dallas pursuing Master’s in Computer Science, I would like to be considered for the intern position at Visual BI Solutions. After going through the company website, I believe that my work experience of almost 3 years and academic excellence in software, application, web and also mainframe applications development along with skills in database design would be a strong fit for the position. Therefore, I am writing to request an interview for the internship program. I had the opportunity to do my summer internship twice, once with UPS (United Parcel Service) where I worked as a Mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer Intern and with EiS Technologies where I worked as a Software Engineer Intern. At EiS Tech, I had the opportunity to design, develop and implement new computing architectures around packaged applications for EiS Oracle products. One major assignment was to develop controllers using REST web services to extract customized/all data from Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Salesforce as per client’s requirements and design a dashboard based on the extracted data. Apart from these, I worked with multiple development teams to test and apply QA methodologies to applications. At UPS, my tasks involved running health check jobs for Ramapo Ridge production systems, moving bug fixes into production and monitoring its correctness, running package rebind reports for all the DB2 z/OS systems, setting up package rebind jobs for Sandbox systems and cleanup of old BMC and CA objects on Sandbox systems to free up space. I also was given the opportunity to be part of the z/OS DB2 v11 upgrade where I was asked to write and run jobs that would upload the actual upgrade jobs to the server. As a Software Developer at Tata Consultancy Services, I have worked in the banking domain. My projects included one of the largest core banking solutions project (TCS Bancs24 at State Bank of India); was part of the Customer Information File (CIF) module

As a Software Developer at Tata Consultancy Services, I have worked in the banking domain. My projects included one of the largest core banking solutions project (TCS Bancs24 at State Bank of India); was part of the Customer Information File (CIF) module where in I handled all the applications based on customer information and Foreign Exchange (FOREX) module which involved development and maintenance of the foreign transaction applications. In addition, I not only developed and improved technical skills but also leadership capabilities necessary to gather requirements from the clients to implementing them and successfully making it live in the production environment. I was appreciated with the ”On The Spot – Outstanding Contribution” for optimizing a critical client report (Foreign Exchange NRE Transactions) and reducing the run time by 79%.
