PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR FIRST

CROSSING CULTURES TEA!

CLIFTON PARK – Clifton Park is constantly changing - with new people joining our com-munity all the time. Many are also new to this country. A group who are practicing their English skills at the Li-brary are interested in get-ting to know more about the community and the folks who live here, so the Friends of the Library are hosting a Crossing Cultures Tea from 11am to 1pm on Wednes-day, October 8 in Program Rooms A & B upstairs in the Library. We’ll have a “treasure hunt” activity to get to know each other better, and some of our newest community members will provide “un-cooking” demonstrations in which they tell us how they create some of the wonderful foods from their cultures that will be part of our refreshments. We hope you will take a little time out of your day for an opportunity to become better ac-quainted “across cultures”! If you do plan to join us, and you would like to introduce us to a food or dish that is representa-tive of your own culture or ethnic origin, please feel free to bring something - and please bring information on the dish, including the recipe (unless it is a well guarded family secret!). Please register to attend the tea by visiting the Library website, or by calling the Library at 371-8622.

Lena & Her KittensLena and her babies were abandoned at an auto body fa-cility in Corinth. She was very scared and confused when

they first took her in. She is a loving and sweet mama with three loving babies. They all have wonderful personalities.

First pic is the girl. Second pic is the special needs boy. He's deaf and born with mi-nor neurological problems and so will be adopted out as a special needs puppy. He

has the best personality, in my opinion, and LOVES cats!!! The third (black) is a little boy. They are all precious and have been vet checked, wormed and given first shots.

How cute are these little guys? They were an owner turn in to a very high kill

shelter. They have all been vet checked, wormed and

given shots. They have won-derful little personalities.

One of these babies would be perfect if you don't want a larger dog.

These babies and their Mom have had first set of shot, vet check and

worming. For more information please come call the shelter or come by so meet your next purr bunny. We
