1 Introduction

The sequence of steps in this document are described in a simple anddetailed way, for you as a user, can make use of this information and takeadvantage to make your job easier. You will be guided through concise explanationsaccompanied by demonstrative graphics application usage.

The server is the equipment that physically have the Data Base stored.

We recommend that your IT personal execute this process.

Please read this manual before you start downloading the files needed for thesubsequent process of installing and configuring SQL Millennium Aduanas; if youhave questions please contact us via email [email protected]

This manual is only for purposes of consultation, and the examples discussed heremay differ from real situation; it's just a base document to help user of MillenniumAduanas SQL.

This tutorial will show us how to install MSSQL software , it is assume that thecompany have already installed in the server all the configuration, and Visual C++application it's also previously installed.

We also assume that Millennium Aduanas is previously installed.

Important note:

We need comply with the mentioned requirements before start wiht the isntallprocess.

2 Asign Repositorio folder

It is described in the next folder how to share the repositorio folder created before inthe server.

2.1 Asign unit R

To assign repositorio folder to a unit we need to go to Start menu (

), then do a click on Computer.

on the next window we need to do a click on Map network drive option.



When the next window appears Select in Drive section the unit R (The letter are isjust a recommendation, it can be any available unit)

Then do a click on Browse

We have to select in the Shared unit before from server and found Repositoriofolder, then do a click on Finish.



This will create a new icon under Computer screen

3 Installation & Configuration

In the next section we explain how to install and configure Millennium Aduanas in aServer/Single User.

3.1 Installation

Do double click on the Millennium Aduanas executable icon, It will make appear nextwindow, where the process will start:

Press Siguiente to continue with the installation...



In the next screen you should press Instalar option to begin with the installation.

To finish we do a click on Cerrar, Then will appear the configuration window.



3.2 Configuration

In the next screen we do a click on Base de Datos tab, put the name of the serverin Servidor Millennium field:

Servidor Millennium: Server name

Then do a click on Obtener Configuración; if the configuration was successful thefields: Proveedor, Servidor, Usuario, will be filled up automatically.

NOTE: IN A CLIENT EQUIPMENT, WE DO NOT FILL UP THEPROVEEDOR,SERVIDOR, USUARIO FIELDS; IF THEY DON'T FILLA UPAUTOMATICALLY AFTER PRESSING OBTENER CONFIGURACION IT IS DUETO BAD CONFIGURATION, OR THE SERVER NAME IS WRONG.



In Repositorio we must select the unit R created before

We do a click on the next option Validar Repositorio and it will show us aconfirmation message.

NOTE: REPOSITORIO FOLDER, SHOULD BE CONFIGURED CORRECTLY; IFAN ERROR MESSAGE APPEARS AFTER PRESSING VALIDAR REPOSITORIOBUTTON, IT IS NECESSARY TO VERIFY THE STEPS FOLLOWED BEFORE INTHE MANUALS, WINDOWS PERMISSIONS, ETC. THIS STEP MUST BECOMPLETED CORRECTLY TO CONTINUE WITH THE CLIENTCONFIGURATION.

Then, press Guardar.



3.3 Config. Modo

Under Config. Modo Tab; choose Estación de Trabajo.



3.4 Creating Shortcut

Now go to Estación tab and do a click on Crear Acceso Directo Option.

This will create a shortcut on desktop to run Millennium Aduanas.

3.5 Exiting from system

It is necessary to comply 100% this manual steps.
