Clickbooth Advertiser Guide

As a Clickbooth Advertiser, you now have access to your own user interface where you can manage your CPC and CPA offers.

In less than 5 minutes you can be set up and ready to run traffic through Clickbooth CPC! The first step to getting set up is to register your account. After your account is setup you can create your own offers through your user interface.

Advertiser Registration 1) Go to http://login.clickbooth.com/advertisers/register 2) Enter your basic contact information to create an account

3) Once your account is created you can login and setup your credit card information. To do this, click the ‘Setup your credit card’ link in the welcome box on your dashboard. You can also click your name in the upper righthand corner and select ‘Payment’ from the drop down menu.

CPC Offer Creation You are now ready to start creating CPC offers! Offers are made up of a link to the advertiser’s offer and a set of targeting criteria. With Clickbooth CPC you’ll have the opportunity to tap into our affiliates most premium traffic, by bidding on the traffic you are most interested in on a CPC basis (think dayparting, geotargeting, device targeting etc).

Step 1) Offer Name, Vertical, & CPA Target

Name your offer (this name is not viewable to affiliates), select a vertical, enter the destination URL, and select a Target CPA.

Target CPA This is where the you can set your target CPA goal. This should be the CPA amount for the action you plan to track based on pixel placement. You will receive the conversion pixel in the following step and can place this pixel wherever you would like along the offer flow and designate the appropriate dollar amount earned on that action. Traffic Information You will notice that as you add in information throughout the offer setup process the system will display an estimated number of clicks, average EPC that other advertisers in your vertical are earning and a bid range. As you go through the offer creation process, these figures adjust based on the targeting (geo & device type etc.) you selected for your offer. To increase your estimated traffic levels, reduce your targeting criteria or increase your bids. This provides useful information on how much traffic your offer could receive and what your max CPC should be.

Step 2) Pixels, Testing, Scheduling, & Targeting Pixels Placing a conversion tracking pixel is a vital part of the offer set up process. Proper placement of the conversion pixel and accurate listing of your CPA goal is essential to make the most of the system. As part of the offer approval process we will test your offer to ensure your pixels are placed and tracking correctly. There are three types of pixels available: Server to Server Postback (preferred), iframe and image. If using postback, please note that the clickid token is required

clickid is a value populated by the Clickbooth Performance Exchange Platform and passes to you through the link through whatever link parameter you choose. When a successful conversion happens, that same value posts back to Clickbooth Advertiser Dashboard, from your system, through the postback pixel through the clickid= parameter of the Clickbooth pixel

Testing You will get a Conversion Tracking Pixel and have the opportunity to fire a test lead to confirm tracking. You can access the pixel and test link at a later time by clicking the settings wheel next to your offer and selecting ‘Test Tracking Pixel’ from the drop down menu. Please note placing a conversion tracking pixel is a vital part of the offer set up process. Proper placement of the conversion pixel and accurate listing of your CPA goal is essential to make the most of the system. As part of the offer approval process we will test your offer to ensure your pixels are placed and tracking correctly. By default, Clickbooth CPC pixels are nonsecure; they can however be updated to secure by changing the “http” at the beginning of the pixel to “https”.

Scheduling Your offer will default to start immediately and have no selected end date. This can be changed by selecting the radio button next to the calendar and selecting dates. You can select ‘Advanced Scheduling’ if you want to customize certain days and times your offer will run.

Targeting You have the opportunity to add geotargeting (on a country or state level) and device targeting (mobile/tablet/desktop). You have the ability to target an entire country, only include a few geotargets or exclude specific geolocations from an offer.

We recommend creating multiple highly targeted offers in your initial setup. This will allow you to tap into premium traffic in the pockets you know are successful for your offer. As you become more familiar with the platform you can identify areas to expand your targeting and build additional offers.

Step 3) Bidding & Budgets CPC Bidding Methodology Client (Manual) Bidding Clients will need to select a Max Bid if someone clicks on your ad, that click won’t cost you more than the maximum costperclick bid that you set. For example, if you set a Max Bid of $5 you will never pay more than that, and you could shift that traffic over at a lower actual bid of $3. The system will only charge the amount needed for you to win the traffic. Budget You will have the ability to set daily, lifetime, or unlimited budgets. In order to achieve your maximum potential, it is recommended to have an unlimited budget. By only allowing a small budget, you are limiting yourself in comparison to your competition and will increase the timeframe needed to develop a statistically relevant dataset.

Daily Budget Once budget for the day is hit, you are done receiving traffic for that day.

Lifetime Budget Once budget is hit you are done receiving traffic until you open up more budget.

Unlimited Budget You open your offers to achieve their maximum potential. Client (Manual) Bid Option
