Classroom teachers for 2018

On Tuesday students spent the afternoon in their class groups for 2018.

Thank you to the teachers for the time and consideration they gave to the task of creating the classes, which takes a lot of term four.

A number of teachers are leaving Brighton Primary School: Katie DeLullo, Nina McMillan and Avril Steier. Chris Hanson and Charlotte Birbeck are taking twelve months leave from Brighton Primary School to take up 12 month appointments at other schools. We welcome Melanie Davis and Elise Cooper to Brighton Primary School in 2018. Due to late vacancies we still have three positions to fill and will be interviewing next week.

FINAL MONDAY MORNING ASSEMBLY FOR 2017

Monday 18th December

Parents are welcome to attend our Monday morning assemblies at 9.00am in the Gym.

Preparation for the end of school - Health Centre

I would like to remind parents that they need to collect their child’s

medication from the health centre before the end of the year.

Your child’s medication cannot be stored at the school during the

Christmas break, so please make sure you collect it.

Epipens should be collected on your child’s last day of school.

Please remember that when your child returns to school next year, that we will

need their appropriate medication returned to school with them on their first

day.

Life Saving

On the 5th of December 2017, grade 5 went to Brighton beach to do life

saving, unfortunately since the weather wasn’t so good in the past week, the

water was unsafe to go in. Fortunately, we got to do several very fun activities

and still learnt many things on the beach, the instructors were very nice and

made every activity educational and fun. Luckily for us, the sun shone very

brightly and it was a great experience for us all.

Our annual Student Vs. Teachers soccer match was held on Monday.

A lot of fun and laughs were had by all but BPS students managed

to win the match 7-1
