VOL. 26 NO 52, DECEMBER 28, 2016 in 2016 FROM TIMWE HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS - I hated to miss seeing everyone on Christmas Day, but I heard good things about the sermons from Colton Shannon and Dick Deising. I appreciate them so much for filling in on shorter-than-usual noce, and I appreciate our elders allowing me to go be with my mom and dad at the hospital in Orlando. Mom had taken some steps backward last week, but she is now making slow day-to -day progress, and we appreciate so much everyones prayers. I hope everyone here had a good Christmas, and I hope youre enjoying the final week of the year. SPEND SOME TIME WITH OUR PRAYER LIST – We have lots of people going through various struggles right now – illnesses, loss, surgeries, recoveries. Lets pray for each other and liſt each other up before Gods throne, knowing that God can act in strength and wisdom for each situaon. We want to always be a peo- ple of prayer! A NEW YEAR BEGINS SUNDAY MORNING! – 2016 has been one of the best years (maybe THE best) weve ever had for our outreach and ministries, and we will list and celebrate some of those victories in next weeks bullen. But as always, there are sll plenty of things we can improve on. Can we do beer in 2017? How can my personal faith be stronger next year? We get a chance to start anew Sunday morning, as we welcome 2017 in worship together before Gods throne. OFFICE SCHEDULE - The church office will be closed Friday and Monday for the New Year holiday, but eve- rything should return to normal schedule next Tuesday. If you need any of us, please reach out on our cell phones. Are you ready for a new year? I look forward to being together again this coming Sunday morning, ready to worship and begin a year that we pray will be filled with faith, hope, and love

WE HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT CHRISTMAS - I hated to miss seeing everyone on Christmas Day, but I heard good things about the sermons from Colton Shannon and Dick Deising. I appreciate them so much for filling in on shorter-than-usual notice, and I appreciate our elders allowing me to go be with my mom and dad at the hospital in Orlando. Mom had taken some steps backward last week, but she is now making slow day-to-day progress, and we appreciate so much everyone’s prayers. I hope everyone here had a good Christmas, and I hope you’re enjoying the final week of the year. SPEND SOME TIME WITH OUR PRAYER LIST – We have lots of people going through various struggles right now – illnesses, loss, surgeries, recoveries. Let’s pray for each other and lift each other up before God’s throne, knowing that God can act in strength and wisdom for each situation. We want to always be a peo-ple of prayer! A NEW YEAR BEGINS SUNDAY MORNING! – 2016 has been one of the best years (maybe THE best) we’ve ever had for our outreach and ministries, and we will list and celebrate some of those victories in next week’s bulletin. But as always, there are still plenty of things we can improve on. Can we do better in 2017? How can my personal faith be stronger next year? We get a chance to start anew Sunday morning, as we welcome 2017 in worship together before God’s throne. OFFICE SCHEDULE - The church office will be closed Friday and Monday for the New Year holiday, but eve-rything should return to normal schedule next Tuesday. Joe Gillentine came forward and asked for the

prayers of the church. He recently lost both

his mother and father, and would like us to pray

for him during this difficult time.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Words cannot easily express

how much everyone has meant to our family during the

past couple of months. The loss of both of our fathers

and Curtis' surgery has been hard to bear. All of the

prayers, cards, calls and food have been of great comfort

to us. They are beautiful reflections of our God and help

us find the peace and comfort to move forward. Thank

you for caring for us. Curtis & Carol Parker and entire

family

Sympathy is extended to Rhinard and Betty Troup in the death of their son-

in-law, Drew Anderson. Services were held in Indi-

ana.

WHAT IS EVANGELISM UNIVERSITY?

It is an intense weekend of in-depth and practical evange-

lism training. Classes will equip students with skills to

share the Good News with their friends, as well as in-

crease their knowledge of mission works at home and

abroad. Elective classes will give young people the op-

portunity to learn about areas of evangelism most perti-

nent to their lives. See Colton for more details.
