Enter classroom quietly and calmly Have only bellwork supplies on desk

(pencil and paper) Be in your seat when bell rings or you are

Bring paper and a pencil to class. If you forget to bring a pencil or paper,

grab the needed supplies from the table upon entering.

Do not ask Mr. Ezzell or a classmate for paper or a pencil during class.

Mr. Ezzell will keep a sheet of paper on the table. If you take a pencil, sign your name on the board.

Mr. Ezzell will take up pencils the last two minutes of class.

You are expected to start on bellwork immediately after sitting down.

You may ask for a tissue when Mr. Ezzell isn’t instructing the class

period If there is trash on the floor, Mr. Ezzell will

not dismiss the class until the trash is in the trash can

There will be no extra credit Tests count for 50 percent of your grade.

There will be a test or quiz every Thursday unless Mr. Ezzell tells you otherwise. Mr. Ezzell will tell you whether you’re having a test or quiz ahead of time.

Homework and classwork count for 25 percent of your grade.

Quizzes count for 25 percent of your grade.

Periodically we will do groupwork. You are expected to behave and talk to

each other in a civil manner. You must keep volume at a reasonable

level.

Go to the make-up wall and find the folder for the day you were absent.

Do what the instructions in the folder tell you to do.

If you have a question about the work ask at least two classmates to explain it.

If you still do not understand then you can ask Mr. Ezzell.

Food is not allowed in Mr. Ezzell’s classroom

Water in a closeable container is the only drink allowed in the classroom

Gum is not allowed. Throw away all empty water bottles

before leaving the classroom.

You are not allowed to use the restroom during class

Bullying WILL NOT be tolerated Any act of bullying will result in automatic

referral to the dean or administration

When first period begins, dress code will be checked by me daily.

DO NOT talk during this process. DO NOT move away from the area

directly behind your desk. Failure to follow procedure will be met

with consequences.

You will clean the classroom from 3:00 until you are dismissed.

Pay close attention to the dismissals. Students will have specific jobs at the

end of the day such as sweeping, taking down buses, desks, trash, exc.

Failure to follow directions will be met by SERIOUS consequences.

Divide your paper into three parts. You must pick eight terms from the

powerpoint. On the far left column, provide a

definition of the word. The definition must be a minimum of one sentence.

In the middle column, use the word in a sentence and underline it.

In the far right column, draw and color a picture that’s relevant to the word.
