Transcript of Cirkling Volume 48: Special District Convention Issue
Calling all Circle K members! Are you pre-pared to join New Jersey CKI’s finest for a fun-filled, action packed weekend of heroic proportions? If so, then it sounds like you’re ready to attend Circle K’s 49th annual New Jersey District Convention!
From Friday, February 22nd, to Sunday, Feb-ruary 24th, New Jersey Circle K members from all across the state will gather together to celebrate another wonderful year of ser-vice at the Somerset-Bridgewater Hotel in Somerset, NJ.
As in previous years, the District Board has compiled the following Convention Cirkling in order to help better organize all of the infor-mation you’ll need to keep on top of if you plan on registering for this event!
This year’s convention theme- “Become The Superheroes of Service!” was designed to cap-ture the essence of what our past service year has truly been about. Regular students, who choose to take time out of their busy college filled days, to help out those in need.
Such kindness can only be described in our eyes as heroism, and as such, we’d like to commemorate all of this years heroic deeds with a fun, light hearted, superhero themed convention!
District Convention is a great opportunity for members to learn just exactly what our organization is all about. Members will be given a chance to...

..meet other Circle K clubs throughout the district, attend informative work-shop sessions which will help better prepare them for the upcoming service year, win awards/scholarships, vote on revisions to the NJCKI Bylaws, take part in service projects, and much more!
Additionally, District Convention will also serve as the election ground for our upcoming 2013-2014 District Board! Interested members are urged to look at the elections packet for more information.
With all that said, we hope you’ll join us, as well as many other Circle K members and Kiwanians for a phenomenal weekend of service, leadership, and fellowship at this year’s annual DCON. Be sure to read the rest of this packet to get a greater insight as to what the weekend has in store! •
