Sign-up sheets located in church vestibules. Call Jane Bishop for more information: 201-739-5622.
Thank you for your generous support!
Thank you, Sharon,
Last weekend at Sunday masses we wished our cantor, Sharon, well as she takes leave of us at St. Mary. Folks stopped by Fr. Kevin Cahill Room to express their affection and thanks. Fr. Joe presented flowers to Sharon and the choir and friends took her out to lunch and presented a beautiful piece of jewelry and plaque as a token of affection. May Sharon's service to the parish inspire others to follow in her footsteps to serve. God bless, Sharon. You are always welcome to cantor at St. Mary! Physical Plant Update
The Religious Education offices have been moved from the former convent to the Fr. Kevin Cahill Room. St. Mary’s thanks Tri-state Movers, Bergenfield, and Professional Painting and Design, Oradell, for their good work. Please consider a gift to help the parish defray the cost of the move, carpeting, painting and computer and phone connections. The total outlay is $4,900. This move enables the parish to rent the former convent, generating modest income and relieving parishioners of maintaining the building. Please indicate that your donation is for the Fr. Kevin Cahill Room renovation. You may also donate online at www.stmarycloster.org via ParishGiving.
Thanks a million!!!
SECOND COLLECTION Next weekend, August 4th and 5th the second collection is for the Archdiocesan Assessment.
_________________________
Why the ASSESSMENT
COLLECTION? Each parish of the Archdiocese of Newark (RCAN), to which St. Mary’s belongs, is assessed a percentage of regular donations and rental income. Donations to St. Mary, such as the Sunday collection, are assessed at 14%. RCAN uses these assessed funds to operate the chancery and help subsidize charitable works. The ASESSSMENT COLLECTION helps St. Mary’s cover some of the monies due to RCAN. Thank you again for supporting St. Mary’s and helping RCAN provide assistance beyond our doors.
