Christmas Markets Dec 1-9, 2018 • 9 Days Day 1 Sat. Dec 1 Overnight Flight. Meet at the Des Moines airport for our holiday adventure of Europe’s finest Christmas markets. We board our plane for our overnight flight to Zurich, Switzerland. Upon arrival, transportation will be waiting to take us to our hotel. Day 2 Sun. Dec 2 Your holiday adventure begins in the Black Forest. Known for its dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages. It’s renowned for its world-class thermal spas and the cuckoo clocks produced in the region since the 1700’s. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. (D) Day 3 Mon. Dec 3 Travel the picturesque valleys of the Black Forest to the provincial capital of Strasbourg. We will enjoy a guided tour of the Old Quarter, Petite France,” featuring the Cathe- dral of Notre Dame. You will have free time to explore the Christmas market featuring traditional crafts, food and drink before we return to Germa- ny. (B) Day 4 Tues. Dec 4 Travel to Wurzburg. A local expert guide will take us a tour through the streets of this ancient wine town and discover the city’s rich history. Dec 5 We travel to Nuremburg for a city tour of this historic place, including the town’s 900-year-old ramparts that surround the city; the Imperial Castle, and the Justice Palace. Our city tour concludes with a visit to the historic Nuremberg Christmas Market. You can find Nuremberg spicy gingerbread, mulled wine, Christmas ornaments of all shapes and sizes, toys and games, holiday treats to eat and drink. Day 1 Sat. Dec 1 Overnight Flight. Meet at the Des Moines airport for our holiday adventure of Europe’s finest Christmas markets. We board our plane for our overnight flight to Zurich, Switzerland. Upon arrival, transportation will be waiting to take us to our hotel.

Day 2 Sun. Dec 2 Your holiday adventure begins in the Black Forest. Known for its dense, evergreen forests and picturesque villages. It’s renowned for its world-class thermal spas and the cuckoo clocks produced in the region since the 1700’s. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. (D)

Day 7 Fri. Dec 7 Today we travel across the Bavarian landscape to the Tyrolean town of Innsbruck. Then, it’s your choice! You can join a local guide for a walking tour of the city’s history, culture and popular attractions OR embark on a walking tour focusing on Innbruck’s unique architectural structures including its famous ski jump. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to shop and browse in the many specialty stores and cozy Christmas market. (B) Day 8 Sat. Dec 8 Today we travel to Munich and enjoy a panoramic tour of this exciting city. You will have free time to explore Munich’s historic area and the Christmas market. Later, we return to Oberammer-gau. Enjoy free time to stroll the village. Tonight, enjoy a magical farewell dinner featuring a visit by local en-tertainers from this village, famous for its Passion Play. (B,D) Day 9 Sun. Dec 9 Our unique European Christmas experience comes to an end. Travel to Munich for our return flight home. (B)
