Avocado:

The quantites of avocado of Spain are

still limited and at the same time the-

re are very cheap chilean avocado co-

ming in for christmas. When the chile-

an finish, which probably will be rigth

after new year the prices of Spanish

avocado is supposed to increase con-

siderable.

Broccoli:

Prices are going up with lesser pro-

duction. Northern Spain starts

Capsicum:

Today prices on the auctions went up

a little and it seems that there are fe-

wer kgs coming in on all kind of caps.

Carrots:

new crop of bunch carrots from Huel-

va are available.

Cauliflower:

Available from Murcia and northern

Spain

Celery:

14-16 pz from Murcia with very good

quality

Clementines:

Almost beginning the Christmas sea-

son it seems that the markets has

suddenly stoppet almost completely.

Apparantely the “hangovers” from

Saint Nicolas are more serious than

normal and the large accumulated

stocks on the European markets are

only slowly going down. Next week its

expected that the sales will at least

double and hence prices should not go

down since there are still only few kgs

available. The availability in January

depends a lot of that happens the next

two weeks in December.-

Courgettes:

Super quality – fewer kgs. Nice quality

of the yellow courgettes.

Cucumber:

Prices are going steady up and we ex-

pect to have seen the last cheap cu-

cumbers for this season. Not that the

strike Monday helped but the kilos are

not coming in and prices just seem go

up steadily although little day by day.

The increase on organic cues will be

considerable, since basically no cues

are coming in.

Egg plants:

prices are going up fast now, the cooler

weather has lowered the income of the

produce and few kgs are available.

Figs:

Last few kgs from Valle del Jerte

Iceberg: Increasing prices with good

quality in all sizes. Nothern Spain will

start soon

Kumquat:

New crop will be ready to load next we-

ek. They have have problems with the

mediterranean fly so fewer kgs are ex-

pected this year.

Little Gem:

Cheap

Lollo Rosso:

From northern Spain

Oranges:

The prices are going down although the-

re are few fruits available, and other ori-

gens affects also negatively on the Spa-

nish oranges. Re salustianas the prices

are steady con tendency of going down

now that strong buyers have started

with this variety.

Pointed cabbage:

Has started. Possibility of flow

Rasperry:

Situation is like last week, with limited

availability and awaiting Glen Lyon that

will increase the quantities.

Romaine salat:

super quaklity with increasing demand

Kaki

:

Small increase in the sales of Sharon alt-

hough the markets are still slow. The qua-

lityu of Huelva is ercellent.

Strawberry:

This week they began the Collection of

early strawberry and the limited harvest is

going for the domestic market, since the

size and shape does that is still not apt for

export. However there is a harvest of El-

santa which has a better shape and size

but with even more limited available kgs.

Volumens are expected to rise in January.

Tomatoes:

Good quality and going a little up with pri-

ces. On the market for special tomatoes

we see many prices and qualities.
