OUR CARE AND SHARE SHOP
The Care and Share Shop is in need of someone who would be willing to remove seasonal items or those that have to be recycled due to a lack of space and take them to either the Salvation Army or to other thrift stores. The Salvation Army used to pick them up every other Friday but haven’t been able to do so since March due to COVID. A truck or van makes the job much easier!! If you are interested, please contact Bill Aiken at (315) 529-8371. Thanks so much!
All those attending Mass will need to REGISTER upon entering the church. Please remember social distancing, wearing of masks and sanitizing are very important. Thank you for your cooperation.

23 D. How is the Bible divided?
The Bible is divided into the Old Testament, written before the coming of Jesus Christ, and the New Testament, written after His ascension into Heaven.
BOOKS OF THE OLD TESTAMENT
BOOKS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT
In 2015, Pope Francis wrote the Encyclical “Laudato Si” (Care for the Common Home). He wrote this encyclical to remind us that earth was here before us and God granted us dominion over this earth—which is our mother. (Gn. 1:28) A group of lay ministers, scientists and interested people from our diocese got together and formed a Task Force to encourage and help all of us as People of God to be more aware of how we can take care of Mother Earth. In the next couple of months this task force would like to present some ideas about how you can do that. We also would be grateful for any help you can provide. Dear Friends in Christ, Truly, the New Year is a time for New Beginnings! We struggle to remember to write 2021 on our checks and letters! Tempus Fugit. Time flies and so we again see the New Year as a moment of grace and opportunity I love the fact that liturgically the Church begins the new year by honoring the Mother of our Savior with the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God. The Fourth Commandment tells us that it is the duty of all to honor our fathers and mothers; and Jesus seems to be the best at keeping this commandment. All Catholics should seek our Blessed Mother’s help and care in our lives. That brings us to our New Year’s Resolutions. What can we do this year to grow spiritually? Will we work on a virtue such as patience? Will we be a people of Good Will? Or will we give in to a fear (a future evil that leads to sadness, sorrow and anxiety) or will we pray and put our faith and trust in God? Let us trust in Jesus and try to have courage and hope! God is Goodness itself. Let’s take the time to ask our Lord to bless us. The first reading from the Mass for the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God is taken from the Book of Numbers (6:22-27): My hope is that this will be a very Holy and good year for all of us! May we be grateful to God for everything, seek to do His will, and strive to get to Heaven! Let us pray to Jesus asking for the graces we need in our lives. May the Mother of our Savior intercede for us and help us.
In Christ and a Joyous New Year!
Father Schultz PS- Daily Rosary—New Year’s Resolution?
“The World being unworthy to receive the Son of God directly from the hands of the Father, He gave His Son to Mary for the world to receive Him from her.” --St. Augustine
The LORD said to Moses: “Speak to Aaron and his sons and tell them: This is how you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them:
The LORD bless you and keep you! The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you! The LORD look upon you kindly and give you peace!
So shall they invoke my name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
