To be able to perform these in a small sided games, and to understand and know the basic laws of the game i.e. Centres, Free kicks, Throws-ins (roll ins). Music:Children will learn how to Keep a steady beat to a complex piece of music; sing the song and accompany it with a body beat pattern, highlighting the syncopation of the melody and find ways to arrange body beat patterns in unison and together. P.E:To incorporate these skills into small sided games of football. To be able to perform these skills in a competitive situation. To know and understand the simple rules of football such as starting, throw ins and scoring. Swimming:Children will further understand and be able to apply proper legs and arm actions as well as good body position and bilateral breathing in the freestyle strokes. They will also be able to find the difference between 5-digit prices using counting up (Frog) and choose suitable mental strategies for summing different amounts and calculating change. Literacy:Children will be able to Identify features of an autobiographical text and write a short autobiographical story. They will also be able to discuss how to find information to write

Numeracy: Children will consolidate adding large numbers using written addition, including ‘piles of numbers’ with different numbers of digits and subtract large numbers using decomposition or counting up if appropriate. Topic: Children will study an aspect or theme in British history that extends pupils’ chronological knowledge beyond 1066 – a significant turning point in British history (the Battle of Britain). Science:To examine the process of setting up an investigation. French: Children will understand basic instructions and practise giving/receiving instructions Art:Children will learn how have a close observation of training shoe or other selected item and detailed drawing skills using different fine line pens.

T1, W3 Numeracy: Children will be able to find common factors and common multiples; list prime numbers to at least 15 and find numbers that have pairs of prime factors. They will begin to write numbers as product of prime factors and find highest common factors. In addition, the will use short multiplication to multiply 4-digit numbers by single-digit numbers; round 4-digit numbers to the nearest 100 to make approximations and choose how to solve a mix of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division mental and written calculations. Literacy: Children will be able to find out how characters and settings are created; identify key words and phrases to describe a character and use appropriate punctuations (colon, semi-colon and dashes) to mark boundaries. Topic: Children will be able to given accounts of some major events leading up to the Battle of Britain and develop a familiarity with the location of the countries involved in first year of World War 2. They will also understand more of the German plans for invading Britain and the role aircraft played. Science: Children will able to use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain that objects are seen because they give out or reflect light into the eye. T1, W6 Numeracy: Children will learn to generate and describe linear number sequences and work out the 10th term without working out the all the terms up to that point with support. They will beginning to generalise the nth term; express missing number problems algebraically and find pairs of numbers that satisfy an equation with two unknowns, enumerate possibilities of combinations of two variables. Literacy: Children will describe the structure of a stanza in a poem; write a different ending to a narrative poem in the style of the poet of “The Highwayman” and use the rhyme scheme aabccb and evaluate their own and others’ writing. Topic: Understand the events leading to the end of the war, the surrender of countries, the Battle of Berlin and death of Hitler. They will discuss the concept of a treaty and consider the Paris Peace Treaties of 1947; make a peace dove as part of a class reflection. To understand how to use a compass rose to identify cardinal

T1, W8 Numeracy: Children will be able to add/subtract multiples of 0.01 to/from numbers with two decimal places, crossing multiples of 0.1 and 1 with the help of a number line and use column addition to add three amounts of money and distances, e.g. £45.78 + £25.79 + £24.85 or 9.34m + 6.45m + 4.78m. They will also be able to subtract pairs of numbers, one with one decimal place and the other with two decimal places and use rounding to estimate their answers. Literacy: Children will be able to discuss the selected fiction text and its
