Day 1 - Fly to Washington D.C.Upon your arrival at the Washington D.C. airport, meet your tour manager and transfer to your hotellocated in Downtown D.C. Holiday Inn, Washington D.C./USA

Day 2 - Cherry Blossoms / Capitol Building We begin our Washington sightseeing with the World War II Memorial. Then we visit the classicJefferson Memorial and see the beautiful cherry blossoms by the Tidal Basin. We also tour theCapitol Building and enjoy its new Visitors Center. In the afternoon we visit the Jefferson Building ofthe Library of Congress, one of America’s most beautiful buildings, then have some free time to visitnearby museums. Day 3 - Mt Vernon / Memorials Begin today with a drive to Mount Vernon, George Washington’s impressive home on the PotomacRiver for 45 years. We can tour the Mansion house, a dozen outbuildings, Washington’s tomb, andthe Museum & Education Center. Back in Washington we tour Ford’s Theater and the PetersenHouse where Lincoln was shot and where he died. Then, we see the FDR, MLK, Lincoln, Vietnamand Korean Memorials. Day 4 - Free Day Today, is a free day to explore Washington D.C., known as "the most sightseeable city in the world". Plan to visit one of the 10 Smithsonian Institutes: select from the Air & Space, American History,Natural History, National Art Gallery museums, and more. Or visit the Holocaust Museum, theWashington Monument, the Kennedy Center or the State Department reception rooms. Day 5 - City Tour / Free Time Our local guide shows us our nation’s capital: the Air Force Memorial, the federal buildings, theWhite House, the foreign embassies, Georgetown, and much more. Day 6 - Hillwood Estate We learn the history of the White House at the White House Visitor Center. Then we visit HillwoodEstate, the former home of philanthropist and collector Marjorie Merriweather Post. Day 7 - Arlington Cemetery / Home Today we cross the Potomac River to Arlington Cemetery. Here we visit the Women in MilitaryService memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and JFK’s grave site. We return to theWashington airport for our afternoon flight home. (B)
