What Is ECM?
Enterprise Content Manager
• is a web-based electronic library that collects, organizes, indexes, stores, archives, and shares any electronic file – from analytical raw data and lab reports to compliance records, molecular drawings, Adobe Acrobat documents, Microsoft Office documents, web pages, pictures, video and audio.
• ECM allows users to easily search and review all of their data. ECM automatically extracts searchable metadata from files and provides powerful search capabilities.

ChemStation Integration with ECM
• Automatic transfer of sequence containers (including raw data, methods, and results) and single runs to ECM after acquisition and reprocessing.
• Allows you to directly save data, master methods, and sequence templates from ChemStation into ECM.
• Allows you to directly load data, master methods, and sequence templates from ECM into ChemStation.
• All data in ECM are protected with user authentication.

Advantages of ChemStation/ ECM Integration
• Central data management: Store and organize data from multiple ChemStation installations in one central ECM repository.
• Quickly search and retrieve data for review or reprocessing in ChemStation.
• Restrict access to ChemStation data and reports stored in ECM based on access rights.
• Securely store ChemStation data and reports in ECM under revision-control.

ChemStation/ ECM Integration
• The ChemStation ECM integration adds a pull-down menu and some ECM icons to the ChemStation interface.
• Store data, master methods, and sequence templates from ChemStation directly to ECM, similar to a local directory.
• Open data, master methods, and sequence templates stored in ECM directly into ChemStation.
• The ECM node in the Explorer shows the last sequence uploaded from ECM to ChemStation, or the last master method or sequence template, respectively.

Directly access Master Methods and Sequence Templates stored in ECM• All templates are securely
stored in ECM.
• The ECM node in the Explorer shows the last master method or sequence template uploaded from ECM.
• Master methods and sequence templates can be selected from the Method or Sequence drop-down menu.

Settings for Data Transfer to ECM
• Data in ECM are organized in a four-level hierarchy.
• Users can define within ChemStation where data are stored in ECM.
• Data can be automatically uploaded after acquisition or re-processing.

Data Storage
• All data acquired in one sequence are packaged in a single checksum-protected container.
• All raw data, meta data and results are unbreakably linked.
