All screw down twist locks from 1st April 2005 onwards must have a secondary locking device that stopsthe primary fastening device coming open accidentally when the vehicle is in motion. If no secondary locking device is fitted to the twistlock, the truck/trailer will not pass the MOT.For retro fitting before a truck/ trailer is sent for inspection and is already fitted with a screw down twistlock (40019), TTC now has availablea weld-on secondary locking kit (40430).
