Champions Named at 2008 National Angus ShowNorth American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) Super-Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show

Nov. 17-18 • Louisville, Ky. • No. entries: 179 • Judges: Charles Boyd II and Charles Boyd Sr., both of Mays Lick, Ky.

Angus enthusiasts led 179 entries while competing for top honors at the 2008 North American

International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) Super-Point Roll of Victory (ROV) Angus Show Nov. 17-18 in Louisville, Ky. Charles Boyd II and Charles Boyd Sr., both of Mays Lick, Ky., served as judge and

associate judge while evaluating the 141 females, 34 bulls and four cow-calf pairs before selecting

the winning animals at the 2008-2009 National Angus Show.

EXAR Titleist T011 claimed grand champion and junior champion bull

honors. Rolling RRR Ranch LLC, Wellston, Okla., owns the January 2007 son of BR Midland.

Werner Private Vow 688 won reserve grand champion bull for Werner Angus, Cordova, Ill. The

January 2008 son of SAV 8180 Traveler 004 first won winter calf champion.

McCurry Blackcap 7018 captured grand champion female honors for Tess Steckline, Garden Plain, Kan. The February 2007 daughter of SAV 8180 Traveler 004 first won junior champion.

Callie Smith, Lebanon, Tenn., showed the reserve grand champion female. Champion Hill Georgina 6200 is a May 2007 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C and first claimed intermediate champion.

Champion Hill Lucy 5373 won grand champion cow-calf pair. Mandy Richardson, Louisa, Va., owns the February 2006 daughter of Leachman Saugahatchee 3000C. An April 2008 heifer calf sired by SAV 004 Traveler 4836 completes the winning pair.

Anne Patton Schubert, Taylorsville, Ky., showed the reserve grand champion cow-calf pair. APS Forever Lady Tash is a December 2005 daughter of BR Midland. A March 2008 bull calf sired by MCC Blackout 404 is at side.
