CHASING THE SUN GOLF TOURNAMENT COMMENCING CEDUNA 2 MAY 2020 The Eyre Highway Operators Association is proudly supported by: Thursday 30th April Plan to arrive in Ceduna Thursday, settle into your accommodation. Meet some of the participants at the Ceduna Foreshore Hotel for drinks and dinner. Have a relaxing night. Friday 1st May We have arranged with the Ceduna Golf Club a nine hole Ambrose competition, commencing at 9.30am. After this event, the bar will be open and light lunch will be available. At 3.00pm we have arranged an “Oyster tour and taste” at the West-Eyre Shellfish Oyster Farm, on Denial Bay. Friday evening we will be hosting a “welcome dinner” at the Foreshore Hotel commencing at 7.00pm. At this function you will be introduced to your new golfing mates and receive your Golf Pack. Saturday 2nd May Arrive at the Ceduna Golf Club nice and early for a 6.30am champagne breakfast, hosted by the members of the Ceduna Golf Club. Watch and salute the sun rising at 6.53am. Prepare for the commencement of 7 days of fun, entertainment and golf, interacting with local communities along the highway. Bernie Scott will perform and sing our “welcome song”. After the breakfast play the Ceduna Holes “Denial Bay” and “Oyster Beds”. Saturday 2nd May After playing your 2 Ceduna holes, drive to Penong and play “Windmills”. After lunch head for Coorabie farm stay Coorabie. Our hosts Debbie and Poggy Kloock will entertain us with a bush dance this evening that you will never forget. The meal will be whiting and salads. Bernie will have you dancing the night away with great country music. Sunday 3rd May Bright and early head for Nundroo and play “Wombat Hole”, then move onto the Great Australian Bight to view some of the most spectacular scenery Australia has to offer. Drive to Nullarbor and play “Dingo’s Den”, trying not lose your ball to the crows. Finally arrive at Border Village (wind your watch back 45 minutes) mid- afternoon, relax and settle into your accommodation. Early this evening attend a West Australian Silkwood wine tasting by the pool. This evening enjoy free time with your mates. Monday 4th May: Play “Border Kangaroo” at the village and then “Nullarbor Nymph” at Eucla. At 9.00am meet at the border kangaroo for a team photo. Head to Eucla beach at 2.30pm to meet an old Pirate. Many years ago this fellow hid a treasure chest on this beach somewhere. Can you find it? if you can, its worth a $1,000 gold nugget. You are again free to do as you like the evening. Tuesday 5th May Head for Balladonia leaving fairly early, as this is our biggest day. Play “Watering Hole”,at Mundrabilla, “Brumby’s Run” at Madura, “Eagles Nest” at Cocklebiddy, “Ninety Mile Straight” at Ciaguna and then arrive at Balladonia to spend the night. Wednesday 6th May This will be a real easy day just relax then wander down the highway to Fraser Range Station where you will spend the night. Fraser Range hole is called “Sheep’s Back”. Here you will attempt our $10,000 hole-in-one, and also participate in our annual putting competition. Tonight enjoy a great meal and Bernie will be conducting a karoke night. Thursday 7th May Again leave at your leisure driving to Norseman to play the two holes, “Golden Horse” and “Ngadju”. Check out the magnificent Silver Lake at Kambalda, it is truly a spectacular sight. Play “Silver Lake” at the Kambalda golf course, then head for Kalgoorlie. Play you final two holes “Golden Mile” and “O’Connor”. Book into your accommodation at the Rydges or the Prospector caravan park. Tonight feel free to do as you please. Maybe have dinner at the golf club. Friday 8th May Join the Sponsors of Chasing the Sun and the members of the Kalgoorlie Golf Course to play a 4-ball Ambrose tournament. Arrive at 8.30am for a 9.00am shotgun start, enjoying the hospitality of such a magnificent golf course in Kalgoorlie. Feel like a night at the theatre? The Kalgoorlie Repertory Club will stage a production just for your enjoyment. This will cost you $30 which includes the show and BBQ. Drinks are available at club prices. Saturday 9th May This morning is totally free do some sightseeing, maybe some shopping, or just a stroll up historic Hannan Street. This evening commencing at 5.00pm with your new found friends for our final dinner and a toast to the setting sun. During dinner will be the presentation of trophies. Be ready at your Park or Hotel at 4.00pm for the beautiful old train to pick you up and take you to the golf course. Sunday 10th May Please drive home to where you live carefully. Wednesday 1 MayThis will be a real easy day. Just relax have breakfast then play Skylab. Wander down the Eyre Highway to Fraser Range.

This is where we will play the $1000 hole in one at 2.00pm followed by traditional putting competition.

Tonight get ready for music at our “station muster” in the rustic dining area of this beautiful cattle station.

Thursday 2 May Drive to Norseman, play Ngadju and Golden Horse, onto Silver Lake at Kambalda Golf Course, then head for Kalgoorlie. Play you final two holes Golden Mile and CY O’Connor.

Friday 3 May Join the Sponsors of Chasing the Sun and the members of the Kalgoorlie Golf Course to play a 4 ball Ambrose tournament. Arrive 8.30am for a 9.00am shotgun start.

Saturday 4 May This morning is free to do as you please. The evening commences at 5.00pm with our final toast to the setting sun followed by dinner and presentation of trophies. Maybe a surprise visit by a superstar.

Sunday 5 May Please drive carefully wherever you are returning to.
