WE ARE A CHURCH IN … 

DEVOTION:   At   The  Bridge  we  corporately   participate   in   devotion   through   Life   Journals.  This   is  no  gimmick,  or  magic   formula.  The  Life   Journal   is  a   tool   to  help  us   in   our  walk  with  the   Lord.   It   provides   us   with  an  opportunity   to   sit   at   Jesus’   feet   and   hear   from  Him...   in   a  sense  to  be  discipled  by   the  Holy  Spirit.    We  challenge  you  to  give  God  30  minutes  every   day  and  watch  Him  transform  your  life.  May  we  all  be  growing  together  more  and  more  into  His  image  so   that   we  can  be   the  people  and  the  church   that   He  wants   us   to  be.   Life   Journals  can  be  purchased  at    the  Info  Table. 

COMMUNITY:   We   believe   that   our   journey   with   Jesus   is   not   an   individual   pursuit.    Therefore,  we  commit   ourselves  to   small   group   community   fellowships   designed  to   reach  our  neighborhoods  with  the  gospel  of  Christ   and  encourage  one  another  along  the  journey.  If  you’re  not  in  a  small  group,  what  are  you  waiting  for?  Contact  the  church  office  today.

STUDY:  We  believe  that   God   reveals  Himself   and   His  will   through   the  Bible.    That   is  why  The  Bridge  is  committed   to   accurate  study,  interpretation   and    application  of   His  Word.   In  response  to   this   conviction  we   created   The  Bridge   Bible   Institute   (B.B.I.)   offering   courses  that   dig   deep   into   the   interpretation   of   God’s   Word.   One   course   is   typically   offered   in  conjunction  with  each   six-­‐week   series.  Along  with  B.B.I.,  we  have  suggested   supplemental  reading  that    corresponds  to  each  series  topic.

ACTION:  We  believe  that   true  growth  comes  only  through  applied  knowledge.  During  each  of   The   Bridge’s   sermon   series,   we   will   indicate   an   action   item.   This   may   vary   from  community   BBQ’s  to  mission  projects.  If   we  spend  all   our   time  learning  but  never  doing,  we  will  never   grow  up  to  be  the  church  and  followers  of   Christ  we  are  called  to   be.      Following  Christ  cannot  remain  a  purely  cognitive  endeavor.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY:

OLYMPIC FAITH BIBLE CAMP Save the date! Olympic Faith Bible Camp is coming to The Bridge June 25th-28th! At Olympic faith, athletes will find out exactly what it takes to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly. Bible Camp is from 8:30-12:30 each day and is for kids that have completed Kindergarten through 5th Grade. Sign-ups will begin may 1st. More information to come! WAGON TRAIN CAMP AT HUME LAKEWagon Train is a fun, rustic summer camp for kids who have completed 2nd through 5th grade. You can visit www.humlake.org to see pictures and find out more about camp. This year, camp is June 10th-16th. Pick up a Wagon Train registration form in the ALL-STARS lobby or the church office. Total camper fee is $439, and a $150 deposit is required with registration.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY:

WOMEN’S RETREAT—”IDENTITY TRAIL”, Friday, April 13- Sunday, April 15 We still have spots available! Registration forms and final payments must be turned in by Tuesday, April 10th. You can pick up the forms in the church office during the week. MEN’S MINISTRY:

M24 - (MEN FOR 24 HOURS) - Friday, April 27th & Saturday, April 28th! This event is men for 24 hours for an experience you will never forget. There’s no cost, just your time! We travel to "Sterling Coles Ranch" just 30 minutes north of Bakersfield toward Porterville. Rocky Fleming, Pete McKenzie & Eric Simpson will guide us on the journey of becoming Men Of God. IMPACT GROUP LAUNCH NIGHT THIS WEEK!Would you like to get plugged into an Impact Group? If so, you should join us for an informational “Impact Group Launch Night”. You will have the chance to connect with other people who want to join an Impact Group and become a part of a group by the end of the evening. FLOOD OPPORTUNITIESCome serve at Flood's Community Celebration on Saturday, April 14th. Volunteer training begins at 2:30pm at the South East Ministry Center located at 999 E. California. In addition, Flood is gearing up for summer programming including Feeding Hope (weekly feeding & activities for kids) and VBS in the Southeast. Call Tee at 323-5663 if you would like to be involved.
