The Foundation Course offers you the opportunity to explore and develop your artistic and creative ideas and skills through a mutually supportive environment. Helps you to choose the specialist subject on which you wish to progress at Higher Education and your future career. Anyone that wants to apply to do an Art and Design related degree Students that know exactly which subject area they want to go into AND Students that know they want to do something creative but dont know what that is yet! 6. 3. Foundation Diplomas at UAL An example of an average week timetable on a Foundation Course Students are in taught sessions with tutors for 3 days per week e.g. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in the Studio from 10.30 am - 4.30pm Wednesday/Friday Private study, Open Studios + Workshops, Self Directed gallery and museum visits 7. 3. Foundation Diplomas at UAL Progressing after the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design Early in November there is a dedicated progression week to support you in applying to Undergraduate Courses Youre given support from the Foundation staff whilst you decide which courses and where you want to apply to for your BA course. An average of 96% of Foundation students progress onto their first choice course at Undergraduate level. 12. 3. Foundation Diplomas at UAL Finance and Fees Foundation is different from doing a degree - Home/EU Students under 19 have no fees to pay. Over 19 full-time EU/Home current students pay 3,000 fees for 12/13. Students over 19 may be entitled to an Adult Learners Grant. Chelsea, Camberwell and Wimbledon have combined their Foundation course expertise to create the CCW Progression centre which is now centrally based at Camberwell College of Art. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted February 2012 The Foundation Course offers you the opportunity to explore and develop your artistic and creative ideas and skills through a mutually supportive environment. Opportunity for progression onto a BA course at one of the UAL colleges on successful completion of the foundation course. You choose your Pathway & Specialist Option with support from academic staff before Christmas.
