PALIOFamily of upholstered units for home or contract consisting of an armchair and two/three seat sofas.The basic idea of this project is to revolutionize the covering concept, shifting the focus from a classic tailoring method to a new system closer to the modelling one.The fabric is not traditionally sewn, according to the shape and after put on the upholstery, but it is “folded”around a bearing frame with an aesthetical result reminding a fabric origami.Starting from an almost handicraft process to fold and sew the fabric, together with the present industrial procedures, a new destabilizing product is born: it writes the new rules of upholstery.The chromatic constrast of the various parts emphasizes the overlapping effect of the different fabric strips...The name Palio comes from this alternation of colours .Palio is a flexible product that can be completely personalized: the customer can choose the colour of every single part, inventing nearly endless and always new chromatic combinations.Steel bearing frame. The back and the armrests are in stratified multilayerplywood upholstered with soft high resilience polyurethanic rubber with differentiated thickness. PALIOFamiglia di imbottiti da casa e contract composta da poltrona e divano a due/tre posti.L’idea alla base del progetto è di rivoluzionare il concetto di rivestimento, spostando il focus da una modalità sartoriale classica verso una nuova metodologia più tipica del modellismo. Il tessuto non è tradizionalmente cucito in forma e poi calzato sull’imbottitura, ma direttamente “piegato” attorno ad una struttura portante con un risultato estetico che ricorda un origami di stoffa.Partendo da un processo quasi artigianale di piegatura e cucitura, coniugato con le attuali procedure industriali, è nato un prodotto destabilizzante che riscrive i canoni degli imbottiti.Il contrasto cromatico delle varie parti accentua l’effetto di sovrapposizione dei diversi lembi di tessuto...Da questa alternanza di colori deriva il nome di Palio.Palio è un prodotto flessibile e totalmente personalizzabile: il cliente può scegliere il colore di ogni singola parte, inventando combinazioni cromatiche pressochè infinite e sempre inedite.Struttura portante in acciaio, lo schienale ed i braccioli sono stratificati di compensato multistrati, imbottiti con morbida gomma poliuretanica ad alta resilienza realizzata con quote differenziate con fasciatura di fibra acrilica.La seduta molleggia su nastri elastici.La fodera è fissata perimetralmente sulla struttura a mezzo di nastri a strappo “velcro”.La base di supporto perimetrale è in tubo di acciaio cromato lucido.
