During the execution of avalanche protection works in 1985 in the Swissmountains, a problem arose.

There they had to carry out jobs, which were usually done with heavy crawlermounted drill rigs.

The problem was solved. Today we have a great variety of components thatallows us to build 4 different sizes of machines in a modular system.

We have components weighting 40 – 50 kg for the lightest machine (Max.torque 1400 Nm) as well as components weighting 80 – 120 kg for the morepowerful machine (max. torque 5000 Nm).

Please do not forget that tools, drill rods and tubes can reach fast 1 ton weightand will raise the weight of the machine as well.

This presupposes a decision of what kind of equipment you need and usuallyyou have to search for the right combination of hammer, rods and tubes forthe machine.

Because portable anchor machines behave different as heavy crawlermounted drill rigs, we suggest you use our tools and working procedure.

Possibilities with our machines

The performance is sometimes extremely high by using optimised weightcomponents:

– Hammer drilling 40 – 60 l/min 200 bar ca. 10-15 kW– Diamond core drilling 60 – 100 l/min 200 bar ca. 20-40 kW

– Rock drilling with normal hammer Ø 30 to 50 mm– Down-the-hole hammer drilling Ø 64 to 165 mm (178 mm)

with casing Ø 113 to 143 mm (178 mm)– jet grouting– soil test drilling – single tube core barrel until 146 mm

– double tube core barrel until 146 mm– continuous coring – rotary drilling – three-wing bit
