BABYSITTING

CLASS: Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a six-hour class to certify babysitters. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Confer-ence Room D/E at the hospital. Participants must be at least 11 years of age. Cost is $15. Pizza and drinks will be provided for lunch. To register, call 753-1462. Class size is limited. Topics to be included in the classes are child de-velopment, safety and security, basic first-aid, planning activi-ties, hands-on experi-ence, babysitting as a business, and other general areas of inter-est. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion of the class. Instructors include a nursing edu-cator, a paramedic, a fireman and a police officer.

Through December 31MITTEN TREE: Logansport Memorial Hospital will display a special tree in its lobby to collect mit-tens and hats for Cass County school chil-dren. Donations from the public are wel-come. The collected mittens and hats will be distributed to Cass County schools after the holiday season.
