What is a Case Competition? Teams comprising of 3-5 students receive a business case:
Competitions do have limits to the number of teams from a school
Teams are given anywhere from a couple days to a couple of weeks to develop an analysis and recommendations
Present to a panel of judges including professionals/academics
Some competitions have multiple rounds

Why Participate in a Case Competition? Recognition for yourself and the school

What is the Etiquette for a Case Competition? Professionalism: You are representing the school
Commitment: A great deal of time and energy goes into these competitions; don’t commit unless you can contribute
Practice: Know your presentation inside and out and be prepared for tough questions
Ask Good Questions: You are generally given an opportunity to ask questions about the case
Intensity: You are competing with top schools
Have fun!

What Resources are Available? Every competition has slightly different rules on what you can use
1. Your Teammates: Look to balance out the skill sets and functional area expertise amongst teammates depending on the competition
2. Professors: Great resources to ask questions and get input from
3. Business Librarians/Databases: We have access to some of the best databases in the country
4. Classmates: Practice in front of fellow students and get input
