Page 26: Career guidance

So… how shall I approach???

Page 27: Career guidance

Hmm here you comes… Well the very first thing you should concentrate on is

C, basics of Unix, basics of SQL and Aptitude. Second most important thing is to brush up the basics

of some of the academic subjects such as CN, OS, DBMS & Web Basics.

Then you can go for specialization in any of the higher level technology(as per your interest from the career choices mentioned previously). International Certification will act as boost up.

And the most important one….. thoroughly study your final year project (I know most of you will buy it hahaha… ).

Page 28: Career guidance

C MCQs Binary Tree Program Sorting programs (Merge, Binary etc.) Basic Link List Program Client Server Concept in Web Basics Database connectivity(for ASP/JAVA/PHP etc.)

and basic operations such as insertion, deletion etc.

IP basics. And of course… APTITUDE.

Page 29: Career guidance

So will the specialization in the

Higher Level Technology and the

International certification to help

me any way???

Page 30: Career guidance

Actually in 70% cases it will not help you directly as the tools and technologies that you have to work on in Industry are generally very different. But yes, it helps you a lot during interview as well as when switching the company… As a fresher you don’t have many choices but once you get experience you can select the job profile of your interest and here the International Certifications act as real booster.

Though after 5-7 years of experience most of us will be working on MS Excel only for most of the time… hahaha…..
