Career Counseling Cell Report 2019-20

1. Labour Net Workshop on 8th & 9th August 2019.

Two days Workshops was organized by Prabhat Yogyata Vikas Kendra Khamgaon on 8 and 9 August

2019 at 9.00 am in A V Theater, G S College Khamgaon. Miss Sakshi Mukhiya delivered a speech on

personality development and how to write CV. Dr. D S Talwankar was the chief guest of the program.

Mr. Subhas Gatkhane , Branch Manager, Labour net Khamgaon, Sharad Shende , Officer, Suresh Sangale

, In charge were present the occasion. 150 students participated in the program. Convener Dr V S

Athawar cast the vote of thanks.

2. Seminar on Soft Skill on 9th September 2019 by Sajid Patel

Seminar on soft skill was organized for BSc/BCA/BA/BCOM I year students on 9/9/2019 at A V Theater G

S College Khamgaon and the trainer was Mr. Sajid Patel, Director Gurumantra Foundation Dhule. For

commerce faculty, the time was 9 to 10.30 am, for BA 11. To 12.30 pm and for science, the time was

3.30 to 5.pm. The topics covered were- Discipline, behaviour and PD. All the topics were thoroughly

explained to the students . One Hundred and Thirty students of B Com, 80 Students of B.A and 100

students of Science Faculty participated in the Seminar.

3. Campus Drive for PGDB, NIIT, Pimpri Pune

Campus drive for the post of Senior officer in Private Banks organized by PGDB , NIIT Pimpri Pune was

organized on 16 – 20 Sept 2019 in A V Theater G S College Khamgaon. Mr. Amit Kumar, Director NIIT

Pimpri Pune and Mr. C. M. Chavhan, Rt. Dy Commissioner of Police, Mumbai conducted the Drive. In all

78 students had done the on-line registration. First essay competition was conducted and then on online

GK test and then Interview. So, total 12 students were selected.

4. SGBAU Soft Skill Workshop on 11th to 14th October, 2019.

Report of skill development workshop

Subject of workshop: soft skills development

Object: 1) To make students of the college aware of soft skills. 2) To guide them 3) To plan solutions

Preface: it is very essential that the college students need to be made aware of some special issues

along with the curriculum. A four -day workshop was organized under the skill development scheme to

create the minimum qualification required in those areas. This workshop was guided by various eminent

persons.

Day First: 11th October, 2019

The program was inaugurated on 11th October 2019. On the occasion Hon'ble Dr. Dada Saheb Bobdey,

President, V.S.P. Mandal, Khamgaon, Dr. D. S. Talwankar, Principal of the college, Dr. M. O. Wankhade,

Coordinator, Student’s development committee, Dr V. S. Athawar, Coordinator, counselling and

Placement Cell and Dr. Sonal Kame, soft skill trainer, R.D.G. College Akola were prominently present.

Dr. Sonal Kame, Soft skills Trainer gave special guidance to inspire the college students. She gave various

examples about the values of life. Life is really precious. she said and asked not to compromise on moral

values while achieving a goal of life. Confidence will be gained by constant practice. The confluence of

three things like goal, value and principles will help man to lead a successful life. A total of 50 students

participated in this program.

Day Two: 12th October, 2019

Dr. Sonal Kame gave the keynote of the language presentation. She explained the difference between

formal and informal speech. Planned thoughts and use of proper words can make the world your own. It

is very essential which word to use and which not to use while communicating with others. In

communication, body language plays a vital role. gestures and body language express the inner

thoughts. The main objective should be discussed and ideological differences need to be avoided

Day Three: 13th October,2019

Dr Shivaji Nagre, Shankarlal Khandelwal College, Akola guided the students by giving practical examples.

Getting a job is depend upon how you can present. Time constraints, minimum qualification and

adherence to values in that areas are very important. Neatness and subtlety are required. He also

suggested that something important or less important should be differentiated but not omitted.

Day Four: 14th October, 2019

In this session, Shivaji Nagre guided on interview techniques and keynote to success. While going for an

interview one should pay attention on the dress code. It also depends a lot on what the field is. Self-

confidence and restraint are very important. He also guided on how to write individual bio-data. Resume

is the horoscope of your educational achievements. It should not be illusion and incomplete. He also

advised to mention special qualities. The concluding program was held on the occasion. Dr. D.S.

Talwankar, principal of the college, Dr. M. O. Wankhade, Coordinator, College student’s development

committee, Dr. V. S. Athawar, Coordinator, Career counselling and placement cell, Dr. Shivaji Nagre, Soft

skills trainer were present.

5. SOFT SKILL COURSE Workshop from 04/01/2020 by Sajid Patel

On dated 04/01/2019, 11/01/2020, 18/01/2020, 25/01/2020 & 01/02/2020 (5 Lecture series)

Under Career Counselling Cell Soft Skill Course was started from 04/01/2020 to 01/02/2020. Mr. Sajid

Patel Director of Guru mantra Foundation Dhule conducted the Classes. The course was conducted

every Saturday from 12 Pm to 3 Pm during the period 04/01/2020 to 01/02/2020.

The topics covered were: 1. Goal Setting and Achieving 2. Study and concentration

3. Time Management 4. Interview Skills 5. Communication skill and Personality Development

In all 29 Students participated in the soft skill course.

6. UPSC/MPSC Seminar on 8, 9 & 10th January, 2020.

Seminar on Preparing for UPSC/MPSC was organized on 8/01/2020 for commerce students in A V

Theater G college Khamgaon. Speaker was Shri. Sagar Wakode, Director Shashawat Academy,

Khamgaon. In the beginning, Principal Dr. D S Talwankar welcomed Shri. Wakode sir by offering

bouquet. As usual Principal delivered his motivational talk. Thereafter, Wakode sir had explained in

detail about the procedure of MPSC/UPSC and other exams and ways to crack the various examination.

86 students participated in the seminar. On 09/01/2020 for Arts Faculty Students. 90 students

participated in the seminar. On 10/01/2020 for Science Faculty Students. More than 100 students

participated in the program.

7. Spardha Pariksha Seminar by Reliable Study Center Aurangabad.

Seminar on Spardha Pariksha was organized by Reliable Study Center Aurangabad on 31/01/2020 at

11.00 Am in A V Theater, G S College Khamgaon. Dr. D S Talwankar, Principal was the chief guest of the

program. Principal D S Talwankar felicitated shri. Satish and Kadam Sir. Mr. Satish Shinde and Kadam Sir

delivered their speech on Competition Examination and covered various topics of MPSC. In all 153

students participated in the seminar

8. Global Talent Track Campus Drive on 7th February, 2020

Campus drive of Global Talent Track conducted on 07/02/2020 at 11.00 Am. In A V Theater, G S College

Khamgaon. In 52 Students registered their name and I am very Happy to Share you that all 52 had been

selected for training of 15 days at G S College Khamgaon for the post of Account Processing. In the

beginning Dr. D S Talwankar, Principal felicitate Anil Kumar HR, Rahul Pandey HR and R Gaikwad, Vendor

by giving Mementos and Bouquet. It is IT Based Company located in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore.

Campus drive was only for B COM students. Dr. D. T. Adhau, Shri. Sachin Shingne, Dr. M. S. Gaikwad, Shri

Phatey, Shri, Ajay Jadhau and Convener Dr V S Athawar, had put their efforts to execute the campus

process.

GTT Training was organized on 17 Ffeb., 20 to 3 march 20 (15 days program) time was 10.00 am to 5.00

pm. In all 35 students successfully completed the training. Mr. Santosh Prabhakarn , GTT Trainer, Pune

had conducted the training. Following was the schedule of training.

Closing ceremony was on 3rd March 20 in Sabhagrugh, G. S. College, Khamgaon. Dr. S. S. Bobdey was guest of the program.

Two students named Jagmohan Gawande and Prtiksha Fadnavis were selected in Syntel Company . In

all in second round Priya Phadnis, Lakshana Mudliyar, AnujaThakare, Jagmohan Gawande.

9. Shiv Jayanti and Dr. B R Ambedkar Jayanti Quiz was organized on 14th April 2020.

On occasion of Shiv Jayanti and Dr. B R Ambedkar Jayanti Quiz was organized on 14 April

2020. On Line Test of 50 questions was conducted on Testmoz at 11.00 to 11.40 Am. In all 702

Overall Performance of the beneficiaries was good.
