We have two dedicated National ‘Apparel & Embroidery Centres’ located in Eastern Creek, NSW and Hen-derson WA. These businesses are one stop shops with warehouse and distribution facility’s, dedicated to protective clothing and corporate uniforms.

Our warehouses are designed for fast, efficient distribution of stock for our national contract customers, as well as general items for embroidery/printing. No matter what your business requires in branded garments, we have the stock inventory to supply it quickly and efficiently.

Product Innovation

Workplace safety relies on the latest technology and quality; the Jeminex Group of companies globally source premium grade products that meet and conform to all stringent Australian Standards.

We currently manufacture and distribute the Worksense Range of cotton drill and Hi Vis clothing, Dispos-able Respiratory and Clothing, Height Safety, Hand, and Eye protection. We are also the manufacturers, agents and distributors of the ‘Mack’ Footwear range.

We are very proud of our Worksense garments, setting high standards for our fabrics to ensure that they retain their colour and shape, wash after wash. We are just as particular about manufacturing standards too - so that seams are double-stitched, hems are securely finished and reinforcement and binding are used so that our garments can withstand harsh working environments.

As part of our quality control practices we regularly test our fabrics in independent laboratories to make sure that they comply with our own and/or Australian Standards (as appropriate).

Our range continues to grow with specialist products for the Electrical and other industries to meet the changing requirements of our customers and we are always willing to listen to your needs. Whether you need cotton or mixed fibre, breathable polyester microfibre, fire retardant, oil and chemical resistant protec-tive clothing – we are the specialists and can deliver with all of your requirements with quality garments at affordable prices.

Continued expansion of the Worksense range is the key to our long-term success, and no good idea goes unexplored with our constant review process. We take pride in our ability to revolutionise the industrial workwear industry through the delivery of new designs and new features, as well as stylish improvements to existing garments. Some time ago, Worksense developed an advanced yellow high visibility fabric which passes Australian Standard AS/NZS 1906.4.1997 for natural fibres in both wet and dry states. Typically most high visibility fabrics pass the Standard in dry state only.We regularly supply garments for contracts and have worked closely with companies to develop innovative styles to suit their particular requirements and environment. For summer we developed our Koolflow shirt range – featuring a unique vented back panel with cotton mesh inner and underarm mesh venting, ideal for keeping the wearer cool and comfortable.

Selected Worksense garments, when needed for night use, also feature a unique V-shaped silver tape con-figuration on the sleeves to distinguish our products and ensure they meet Australian Standards.

Our design has the benefit of allowing embroidery space above the chest pockets and print or embroidery space on the back.

Quality Assurance

The main production factory in China that we would use for this contract has received accreditation under ISO 9001-2000. The factory makes our cotton drill shirts, trousers and coveralls. Worksense workwear undergoes a rigorous development and testing process before being approved. Although we have not ap-plied for certification under ISO 9000-2000 we believe that our quality control meets the requirements of this standard. Key aspects of our quality strategy are to assign resources to the project, liaise closely with the customer to develop the product, ensure smooth production and then ensure that the process focuses on continual improvement via feedback from staff and the customers. For the development of new garments we document the enquiry, maintain and keep records throughout the process; we create very detailed gar-ment specifications including fabric and manufacturing requirements, labelling, ticketing and packaging.

An important part of the process is to ensure that fabrics are the correct colour and meet required Australian Standards. Sample fabrics from new batches are rigorously tested in Australian NATA accredited testing laboratories to ensure continuity of our standards. Samples of fabrics are retained for our records and com-parison. All garments contain labels identifying the fabric lot used. Testing is also undertaken in the fabric mill in China prior to dispatch.

Quality controls are maintained in our ISO approved factory by appropriate quality control officers. They also send pre-shipment samples for final inspection and confirmation to our Quality Control department. Master samples of fabric and garments are provided to the customer and also retained in our QC depart-ment to enable future orders to be cross-checked for quality and consistency.

When new stock arrives, the cartons are immediately checked for quality and quantities, and then our specialist Quality Control department completes a series of control checks. The Quality Control department takes samples from each order for rigorous checking and one sample in each colour from each order is kept as a shipment sample and used as a comparison garment. The shipment sample is rotated as further orders are received and compared against other stock for colour, packaging, measurements and general quality. The Quality Control department checks the samples to ensure compliance with specifications, as well as packaging, ticketing, labelling, fabric colour and quality, stitching, measurements and general workmanship. All stock must be approved by our Quality Control Administrator in order to be released.

In the case of orders that require a new batch of fabric, our manufacturer provides fabric samples that are checked against master samples to ensure consistency of colour and quality. We strive to create a range of Worksense garments that meet customer requirements and surpass their expectations of quality at an affordable price. Customer feedback and continual review and improvement of our products are an integral part of our quality process.

Our garments demonstrate a high standard of workmanship rarely seen in other Workwear products and our reputation for quality is enhanced by our almost zero return rates. We have no hesitation in stating that we are able to meeting the required quality standards for any subsequent customer contract. Our factories will produce samples for your approval and we undertake fabric testing to ensure that quality.

The Worksense brand is also a recognised supply and support partner for 3M Australia and its products, further demonstrating its high quality. With the recent trend towards the manufacture of safety garments in Asia, 3M Australia introduced the new 3M Australia Supply Program, which ensures items imported into Australia featuring genuine 3M Scotchlite Reflective Material are labelled accordingly. As a 3M Australia supply and support partner, all Worksense garments that are produced using 3m Scotchlite Reflective Material feature the 3M Australia Supply Logo. The Worksense business ethics is one of openness and accountability. We believe in fair and honest dealings with our customers and suppliers. We conduct our business with integrity and have developed excellent long-term relationships throughout our business net-work.

Manufacturing Quality Control

Worksense Workwear & Safety is made from high quality fabrics to withstand the toughest conditions. As mentioned, previously, our internal standards are set well above the accepted Australian Standards. Our fabrics and garments are tested in NATA Accredited Laboratories, to ensure strict compliance with our requirements and the appropriate Australian Standards (refer to the list of Standards against which our fabrics are tested in Appendix 1). Following customer approval, master samples of fabric and garments are retained, to enable future orders to be cross-referenced for quality and consistency. Our garments demon-strate a high standard of workmanship rarely seen in other workwear products, and our reputation for qual-ity is enhanced by our negligible return rate. Worksense garments meet or surpass the relevant Australian Standards for:

Training is always ongoing and there are more detailed and product specific programs available. This introduction focuses on basic features prevalent throughout all products in our entire range.

Complementing the above support, our supply partners will also take a proactive role towards training and are ideally suited to assist in the provision of identified safety training programs and if required, such pro-grams may also include OHSE matters such as height safety, hazard identification or the introduction of new technology, to name a few.

National Warehousing and Distribution Network

We have a national distribution network across Australia as you will see below, as stated most of these branches have on site embroidery and are fully equipped to manage the distribution of clothing and PPE directly to each Customer site.

Our nominated representatives will dedicate their time and services to our Customer as their priority at agreed upon frequencies by each site. Our representatives will make contact with site personnel involved in the purchasing process and should be your initial point of contact.

Continuous Improvement & Cost Reduction

Continuous Improvement

With the cooperation of the customer, our Contract Review Team will monitor contract performance by holding quarterly account management meetings, thereby ensuring customer satisfaction. The meeting will encompass; spend, pricing issues, delivery and quality performance.

Personnel shall be selected from your management teams relating to your sites as representatives at the management meetings. All nominated representatives will be responsible for the ongoing management and development of the contract. This will also involve participation in quarterly account management meetings.

A core competency of our contract management is our ability to demonstrate and quantify ‘value added’ ser-vices in improving efficiencies within the tradition of supply chain management. The management philoso-phy and practice of ‘continuous improvement’, forms the basis of such activities.

Vendor Held Stock

Vendor Held Stock (VHS) is an initiative to provide an additional service to the manufacturing, engineering and associated industries through a system which allows the customer to reduce the need to invest in stock holdings of consumable products, whilst maintaining optimum service in meeting demand requirements.

The success of VHS requires the cooperation of the customer in providing accurate listings of line items used and an estimated annual usage. By our companies working closely through an on-site store and oper-ating survey, the following benefits will become available to: the customer

• Reduced number of vendors, meaning less orders, invoices etc ultimately reducing admin costs.

• Reduced ordering and stock handling activity with resultant clerical and store manpower savings.

• Reduction in store stock at each of our Customers sites, allowing the freeing up of cash previously committed to stock.

• Reduced commitment to the concept of a central store = less racking, binning & material handling equipment required.

• Ability to rationalise items, eliminating duplications, while maximising service usage requirements.

To ensure these cost savings can be achieved, we will undertake an extensive site and vendor survey with customers personnel to ascertain the products and suppliers that you are able to rationalise by utilising Worksense as your single source safety supplier. As a result, you can plan for the eventual elimination of a fixed expense segment in place within your existing business.

Think Safe, Work Safe

Catalogue

Worksense Workwear & Safety can design a soft and hard copy catalogue of all your contracted items, this can be useful to stop sites purchasing product outside of the basket of goods.

Obviously our full catalogue can made available and be distributed to all sites or individuals at your request.

Direct Sourcing

Our extensive direct sourcing capabilities and activities will provide our Customers with access to new, in-novative products for consideration, supporting product substitution and/or rationalisation programs.

Vendor Reduction - The products offered within our supply proposal are all core products to Worksense and as such, we believe we are in a prime position to service our Customers total requirements in these areas.

We will also consider the viability of supplying products which while we may not normally stock, can easily be added to the servicing branch inventory. This will enable you to further reduce vendor numbers and the process costs associated with doing business with multiple vendors.

Contract Pricing and Vendor Support

Our primary strategic tool is the enhancement of our vendor and/or manufacturer relationships. We pro-vide our vendors and/or manufacturers the opportunity of a fantastic distribution footprint, providing ser-vices and products to our/their customers in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.

Supporting this distribution capability is the need to have the right products to support market demand. Hence we align ourselves with recognized, quality vendors and manufacturers, who can provide the prod-ucts that the market demands; with the flexibility of relevant quality and price point options to suit individual customer requirements.

We are consistently focused on ongoing negotiations with all of our vendors and manufacturers alike. Wherever possible, based on our customers’ usage levels, we request special contract pricing and utilise these special rates on Supply Agreements. In essence, we cannot fulfil the demands on us, without the support of our quality vendors and manufacturers.

Continued partnerships formed over many years, have provided agreements with our vendors and/or manufacturers to assist us with;

• Field support and surveys

• Price review justification

• Recommendations for on-site processes

• ‘Back-up’ stockholding and ‘quick response turnaround’

• Technical and cost effective recommendations and solutions

• Material Safety Data Sheets, Brochures and Catalogues

• Customer demonstration programs

• New product research and development

• Manufacturing to Australian Standards

E-Commerce Solutions

Worksense use an e-commerce platform called Pronto Avenue.

The customer signs on to our web portal and through browsing or through using order templates, the customer places an order. An order confi rmation is automatically sent back to the customer via email. This process uses all PRONTO-Xi rules about pricing, credit terms… and as soon as completed on the web, the customer’s order is known to PRONTO-Xi and ready to fulfi l. The rest of the process is identical to what would hap-pen if the order had been keyed in by our customer service department. Using Alert Intelligence, messages can be sent to the client (via SMS, e-mail or fax) to inform them about the order status. The customer also has the ability to review their orders as well as their account details at their leisure via the web portal.

Benefi ts: Complete Self-service portal pro-viding full visibility from orders to accounts.

Implementation of Avenue could be com-pleted with a 4-6 week timeframe.
