THE CHALLENGEThe action sports world is exploding, with sports such as skateboarding, mountain biking, BMX, snowboarding, skiing, motocross, & tactical paintball, quickly becoming today’s mainstream focus. YET, there is not a single faith-based action sports summer camp in the world.

There is a tremendous need for a “safe place” for youth to study & enjoy their sports, while also learning what an opportunity they have in Christ. Therefore, ROYAL is bringing together a network of close friends including renowned action sports athletes & leading summer camp professionals from Young Life, Sky Ranch, Kanakuk & more to launch the WORLD’S FIRST faith-based multi-disciplinary overnight action sports summer camp... CAMP ROYAL. CAMP ROYAL will be the ultimate action sports training ground for young athletes & world-class pros alike.

Young Life Camps are traditional Christian outreach sleepaway camps. CAMP ROYAL has a sports-specific focus combined with spiritual discipleship.

Kanakuk Kamps focus on traditional sports. CAMP ROYAL provides an authentic environment for action sports-specific training.

After launching their actions sports division 11 years ago, Camp Woodward has opened 12 locations world-wide.In 2013, Young Life reported hosting 84,662 summer campers & 165,528 school year guests across the U.S.

Kids ages 8-18 will come to CAMP ROYAL to intentionally train in their respective disciplines, to experience God’s power & love on an intimate level & to be educated in who they are meant to be according to the One who designed them. OUR PHILOSOPHY | CAMP ROYAL encourages participants to grow in their understanding of their identity as co-heirs with Christ & empowers them to live their lives radically as ROYALTY by providing a platform for them to move out of the cultural comfort zone, study their craft & “stretch” their capacity by safely challenging their limits through professional action sports training.

Tactical paintball taught by former NAVY Seals & SWAT Team Specialists.BMX, freeride mountain-biking, skateboarding & motocross coached by world-class, championship-level professional athletes.Digital media courses instructed by top industry professionals who’ve worked with companies such as Nike, Chick-Fil-A, FOX Sports, NIXON, The duPont Registry, Patagonia & more.Curriculum based upon the Gospel, helping youth understand their worth & value in God’s eyes & empowering the next generation to live in their identity as citizens of Heaven.PLUS, CAMP ROYAL will offer year-round programming including major events, after-school leadership programs, discipleship courses & church & corporate retreats.

THE PROGRAM

WHAT WE BELIEVE“God so loved the world, that He gave His one & only son, that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life.” John 3.16The best news.God created us for relationship with Him - to experience unity & intimacy. He gave us the ability to choose for ourselves, because true love is not forced. But we turned our backs. We fell away. All of us... This is called sin. [Romans 3.23]God had to pay for us in order to get us back because perfect love has to stand on a solid foundation: justice. Someone had to pay & our pockets were empty; we had nothing to offer. Being a “good person” amounts to nothing when compared to His perfection.What was the payment?Jesus gave His life, because of the Father’s love for us. This allowed God to forgive us without compromising His perfection, since light cannot exist with darkness. [John 3.16, Romans 3.19-26]Jesus’ life was the only way to pay for our sins because He was & is perfect – His sacrifice was enough. It has been done. We must believe Him & surrender to the fact that life is only found in Him in order to have relationship with our Father. [John 14.6]If we accept His faith, believing what He believes, we are born spiritually of Him, making us children of the King of Kings. His heirs! That makes us ROYALTY!Oh, & by the way…His love is concrete, unchanging & once His, we are & will always be 100% His. [James 1.18, Ephesians 4.24, 1 Peter 2.9, Romans 8.37-39]We, as His children, are set apart—holy—for the purpose of maturing spiritually as we walk out our belief, which results in intimacy with Him.Ephesians 2-4, John 17.3, Galatians 5.6, Colossians 1.9-12Our purpose – to know Him & make Him known along the way. While God’s love for us does not increase or decrease, we are becoming more enjoyable to God & vice-versa; it gets better & better. [Ephesians 4.13]
