Called to be a Great Church #4

CALLED TO HOLINESS

I Peter 1:15-16

In a world where “right is wrong” and “wrong is right,” we are called by God to: LIVE A LIFE OF HOLINESS

I. WHY SHOULD WE BE HOLY? A. It is a command!

1. Our text 2. I Thessalonians 4:7-8

B. Because of the Price—I Peter 1:18-21

II. WHAT DOES HOLINESS DO? A. Make you better than others?? B. Leads to obedience and obedience

leads to Holiness—I Peter 1:22 C. Leads to love for others—both in I Peter 1:22 & I Thessalonians 4:9 D. Leads to usefulness— I Thessalonians 4:2-5

III. WHAT OUR DESIRE SHOULD BE A. If you are saved, you should want to live differently—II Timothy 2:19 B. I should desire to be “a vessel of honor.”—II Timothy 2:20-21

1. It is our choice. 2. Honor or Dishonor?
