• By applying for CA PBIS recognition,

schools and districts have an opportunity

to reflect and celebrate on their progress

implementing and sustaining Schoolwide PBIS.

• This process also identifies exemplar

schools throughout the state representing

all grade configurations and demographic patterns.

and in the building.

Recognition Process 2017-18

Recipient Responsibilities:•Allow representatives from schools or districts to visit

your building and attend a SW-PBIS school team

meeting

• Share materials related to your implementation

• Share data and other aspects of your

implementation process for publication or

dissemination purposes

•Arrange for SW-PBIS information from your district/school be displayed on your school website.

Criteria

External Reviewer Authorization Training System● ERATS goes live on January 25th

● External Reviewers who have an account from last year use their email

address to login.○ All external reviewer will need to go through the 2018 ERATS training.

■ The video and assessment has been changed.

○ If you don’t know your password, there is a forgot password link.

○ If you want to use a different email address, then you will need to register as a new user with

the new email address.

● The ERATS website is https://erats.sbcss.net

● Once you have registered/signed in, proceed to watch the videos and review the

other materials.

● Verify that you have watched the video and complete the assessment.

Common Pitfalls

● Incomplete answers● Action Planning: Be sure to write a solution to

the TFI item you identified that your team is working toward improving. If the solution does not match the item, the application will not meet criteria.

● Tracking Tool for Tier 2 and/or Tier 3 & data regarding students in the tiers.

● Be sure to describe your tracking tool and not an intervention or team.

● A tracking tool is something that helps track students in different levels of intervention.

● Non-examples of tracking tools: SWIS, CICO

Sample Answers for Tracking Tool Item

“We use a Google Sheet to track students in various Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. We have predetermined cut points for data to indicate when additional intervention is needed, and the Google sheet helps organize students into intervention and track whether or not the students are being successful. Of the students with Tier 2 intervention, 75% experienced success. Of the students with Tier 3 interventions in place, 90% experienced success.”
