This plateau covered with broccoli and some fan corals is an excellent place to observe the marine life. Situated in the northwest of the island, it is the home of the Pygmy- and the Thorny seahorse. Occasionally some big fish like the white and black tipped reef shark, napoleons, schools of barracudas and jackfish show up

Housereef (Gorgonia Wall) The wall is completely covered with beautiful hard and

soft coral. This reef offers a diversity of species, like scorpion fish, tunas, jackfish, barracudas, frogfish, nudibranchs of all kinds and pygmy seahorses.

Dive spots in CabilaoLighthouse

The Lighthouse is an ideal place for a safety stop and to extend your dive time. A slope covered with sea grass and corals expects you there. Divers and photographers have been inspired because of its unique and rare diversity of species. Pegasus, seahorse, ghost pipefish, harlequin ghost pipefish, stone fish, devil fish, leaf fish were already discovered at this place.

Fallen TreeThe wall is richly covered with gorgonian sea fans and

black corals. Also home to schools of barracudas, turtles, frogfishes and nudibranchs.

The wall ends into this sandy plateau with a tremendous variety of hard and soft corals. It is also the habitat of innumerable microorganisms like shrimps, snails and numerous fish schools.

Cambaquiz Wall This place offers everything you need. An adrenaline pumping

and adventurous dive. Impressive wall, a large overhang and many caves which are favorite resting places for baby sharks during the day.

Cambaquiz Slope This wall can be found on the east side of Cabilao Island.

Dropping down this place borders on a big sandy slope. The exceptional dive demands a trained eye to find the camouflage masters like sea needles, ghost pipefish, harlequin ghost pipefish, shrimps and snails.

Dive spots in CabilaoTalisay and Talisay Pier

These dive sites are very interesting becuase of their changing underwater scenery. Starting at Talisay with a drop off changing to a sandy slope in the middle of the dive and finally ending at Talisay Pier again with a drop off. The sandy shallow area covered with coral blocks is an ideal home to camouflage masters. 

South Point A hard coral garden with formations of enormous table corals can

be found here. South-Point is also close to the protected underwater area thereby offers fish schools in all variations and sizes.

Chapel Point Some of the interesting things that can be seen in Chapel Point

are hard corals, caves, overhangs, and lots of reef fish.

Dive spots in Cabilao3-Coco

Major attractions to be found in this dive spot are large table corals. Like the Lighthouse, the depth for 3-Coco is at five to 50 meters. Even though the corals take center stage in this dive site, other marine life also abound here as well.

SanctuarySanctuary is a protected underwater area and its

environment with several caves, incisions and overhangs offers a fascinating view. Sea snakes, barracudas, large groupers, napoleon wrasses and snappers are often seen.

How to get thereFrom Tagbilaran, Bohol: Cebu Pacific and Philippine Airlines offer domestic flights to Tagbilaran

City from Manila daily From Tagbilaran, take a bus or taxi going to Mocpoc on Sandingan

Island The resort can arrange a boat to pick you up in Mocpoc or you can ask

one of the outrigger boats there to bring you to Cabilao Island

From Cebu: Take a direct flight to Cebu International Airport or a domestic flight

from Manila From Cebu, take a ferry to Tagbilaran, Bohol You can also reach the island directly from Cebu island. Go to the town

of Argao by bus from Cebu City In Argao, there are public outrigger boats that bring you directly to

Cabilao Island (Tuesdays and Saturdays only)
