The Malaysian Society for Surgery of the Hand (MSSH) is pleased to invite you to the 10th Congress of the Asia Paci�c Federation of Societies for Surgery of the Hand (10th APFSSH) and 6th Congress of the Asia Paci�c Federation of Societies for Hand Therapists (APFSHT) which will be held from 2nd-4th October 2014 at Hilton Kuala Lumpur Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. To make it more exciting and well worth your while, ISSPORTH and IBRA are also joining in the academic activities! The Asia-Paci�c region is one of the fastest developing regions, the economic burst spurring research and innovation. Recent congresses held in Osaka (2004), Bangkok (2006), Hong Kong (2008), Kaohsiung (2009) and Bali (2012) have all been very well-attended. For the �rst time, the congress will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital city with towering skyscrapers and bustling shopping malls. The conference venue is in the heart of Kuala Lumpur with easy access from the airport by car, train and coaches. It is located on the transport hub of the city so getting around town would also be a breeze. To know Malaysia is to love Malaysia - a place where you will truly feel at home as Malaysians are very relaxed, warm and friendly. This bubbling, bustling melting-pot of races and religions makes Malaysia a gastronomical paradise and home to hundreds of colourful festivals. It's no wonder that Malaysians love celebrating and socialising! As for nature - there is a plethora of choice - Malaysia has so much diversity from cool highland hideaways tucked away on rugged mountains with rainforest-clad slopes sweeping down to raging rivers, gentle �oodplains or to warm, sandy beaches with ancient coral reefs, or deep clear diving spots or rich, humid mangroves. It is a haven of natural beauty and home to mature rainforests and the largest �ower. We look forward to sharing our country, heritage and culture with you and promise our best to make this congress an exciting meeting place for the exchange of knowledge and ideas. See you here in KL! “See Sarawak in Half a Day” is the claim made by Sarawak Cultural Village, a unique award-winning living museum offering an excellent introduction to local cultures and lifestyles. On a sprawling 17-acre site just a short walk from the nearby resort hotels, there are replica buildings representing every major ethnic group in Sarawak; Bidayuh, Iban and Orang Ulu longhouses, a Penan jungle settlement, a Melanau tall-house, a Malay town house with adjacent top-spinning court, a Chinese farm House and a Chinese pagoda. REDANG ISLANDWhite sandy beaches, crystal clear blue sea, brilliant underwater world, Redang archipelago comprises 9 islands (Lima Island, Paku Besar Island, Paku Kecil Island, Kerengga Besar Island, Kerengga Kecil Island, Ekor Tebu Island, Ling Island, Pinang Island and the main Redang Island) that abound with marvelous marine �shes, turtles and coral reefs that ensure great snorkelling and scuba-diving.

MOUNT KINABALUMount Kinabalu is Borneo's tallest mountain. Known to be one of the most accessible mountains in the world. No specialized mountain climbing skills are required to ascend it. You can climb to the top of Low's Peak (4,095.2m or 13,435.7ft above sea level). The height of the mountain is often given as 4,101m but recent satellite imaging has proven this to be incorrect.
