Tourist Attraction #1 The Indianapolis 500 is held at the Indianapolis

Motor Speedway. It is a car race held overMemorial Day weekend. The first race was in 1911.

It is called the “500” because there are 5oo miles in the whole race but only 200 laps because each lap is 2.5 miles. A weird fact is that every year at the after celebration party the winner drinks milk. They drink milk because the first time winner drank butter milk. The butter milk company liked it so much that now every year the winner drinks any kind of milk.
