1. Prepare the appliqué butterflies by tracing each template onto the paper side of fusible web. Cut each template about ¼ outside the traced lines.

2. Fuse each shape onto the wrong side of the corresponding fabrics, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Cut out each shape on the traced line.

3. Using the cover as a color placement guide, fuse a butterfly onto the center of an “A” 10½” x 10½” white souls squares background following the layout diagram. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a blanket or satin stitch and matching thread. Make 20 butterfly squares.

4. Sew (2) “C” lace flower gray sashing strips to the long edges of a “B” white soul squares sashing rectangle; make 25 C-B-C units.

5. Follow the diagram below to sew (2) “D” lace flower gray sashing strips, (4) “B” white soul squares sashing rectangles, and (3) “E” lace flower gray sashing strips; make 6 D-B-E rows.

6. Sew (5) C-B-C units to the side edges of (4) appliquéd butterfly squares following the diagram; make (5) butterfly block rows:

7. Assemble the quilt center by sewing the (5) butterfly block rows and (6) D-B-E rows.

8. Sew (3) 2” x WOF lace flower green F & G border strips end to end and cut (2) 2” x 62½” F border strips. Sew onto the left and right edges of the quilt center.

9. Sew the remaining (3) 2” x WOF lace flower green F & G border strips end to end and cut (2) 2” x 53½” G border strips. Sew onto the top and bottom edges of the quilt center.

10. Sew the (2) 5½” x 65½” H border strips to the left and right sides of the quilt center.

11. Sew the (2) 5½” x 63½” I border strips to the top and bottom sides.

12. Quilt as desired and bind with (8) 2¼” x WOF doodle flower binding strips.
