Conclusion
Letter of Recommendation Recommendations/Concerns
In the future, have the presenters sit in the order they are to speak in to ease the flow of the event
Encourage the visiting students to engage themselves and ask more questions
Provide a pen and paper in welcoming packets so that parents or students can take notes during the presentations
Include a map of the college campus that one can refer to when on tours after the event
Since the lapel microphones are sensitive it may be a good idea to lower the overall volume and instead have the presenters speak louder
Conduct rehearsals in the same location as the event in order to make student presenters feel more comfortable in the larger auditorium
Observations
All of the parents were very impressed at the level of professionalism and involvement portrayed from student presenters
Many of the students were interested in J-Term trips, internships, as well as study abroad opportunities.
Most of the parents were impressed with the level of involvement from professors with the students inside and outside of the classroom
Overall, given all positive comments and high conversion rate in the past, the event should be viewed as a complete success for Carthage College.
