We have had many students attend our school since our very first student’s debut.
Our students have all shown a high level of competency and achievement. Most of them wish to further their knowledge and often
enrol in additional classes.
Interest has also been expressed in the art of braiding and whip making.
So we can now offer a whip making class as well as the saddlery classes.

Located at Pacific Haven near the historic little town of Howard, thirty minutes north of Maryborough and Hervey Bay in Queensland.
We are a wholesale supplier for all your saddlery needs, stocking everything from sides of leather, to buckles, glue, leather protection, gloves, shoe laces and tools. WHIPMAKING & BRAIDING COURSE
BASIC 2 DAY WORKSHOP Students will enjoy a break at our hideaway on the Burrum River, and will learn to make a 4 strand LATIGO Stock Whip including a 12 strand Plaited Handle under the guidance of our professional whip plaiter. Maximum students – 4

FENDER SADDLE WORKSHOP
5 DAY COURSE Students will take home their own very own handcrafted swinging fender stock saddle.Maximum students - 4
WORKSHOP COST: $5,500.00 which includes tutoring fees, material costs including GST, smoko and lunch provided. Deposit of $2000 required on booking.
HANDMADE CRAZY HORSE DUFFEL BAG WORKSHOP
2 DAY COURSEStudents will make and take home their own handmade Crazy Horse Duffel Bag valued at $475. Maximum students – 4
WORKSHOP COST: $1100.00 which includes tutors fees, materials costs including GST, smoko and lunch provided. Full amount payable on booking
ADVANCED BRIDLE AND MATCHING BREASTPLATE
4 DAY COURSE Skills include; how to prepare and cut strapping, edging, bevelling, skiving, polishing, how to use drive punches and crew punches and hand – sewing. Students take home their own patterns as well as their personal handcrafted bridle. This workshop includes a matching bridle and breast plate with decorative braiding and concho fully handsewn brow band and matching wither strap. All patterns included with their matching bridle and breast plate.Maximum students – 4

ADVANCED WHIP MAKING & BRAIDING WORKSHOP
3 DAY COURSEStudents will make a Kangaroo hide 8 strand whip.... students must have completed the basic introduction workshop on a Latigo whip before participation in this course. Maximum students – 4

ADVANCED FENDER SADDLE WORKSHOP
7 DAY COURSEStudents will be provided with patterns and their own handcrafted swinging fender stock saddle. The students will learn how to hand carve and stamp (basket weave) patterns to decorate their own personal swinging fender stock saddle.Decoration will include the choice of tooled knee pads and cantle, and stamped skirts. Maximum students – 4
WORKSHOP COST: $6,500.00 which includes tutoring fees, material costs including GST, smoko and lunch provided. Deposit of $2500 required on booking.
ADVANCED AUSTRALIAN STOCK SADDLE WORKSHOP
3 WEEK COURSEStudents will be provided with all relevant patterns and learn the intricate skills on how to make a custom fit, original Australian Hair lined stock saddle as well as taking home their personal saddle. This saddle will be all hand-sewn with leather fashioned knee pads and cantle, seamed in seat.Maximum students – 2
WORKSHOP COST: $15,000.00 which includes tutors fees, material costs and GST, smoko and lunch provided. Deposit of $4000 required on booking.
COUNTERLINING, RELINING AND REPLACEMENT OF SADDLE POINTS WORKSHOP
4 DAY COURSEStudents attending this course will learn how to counterline a hair-lined saddle, how to reline a fender or western saddle and how to remove old points and competently select appropriate leathers and attach new saddle points. Minimum students – 4
WORKSHOP COST: $1,500.00 which includes tutoring fees, material costs including GST, smoko and lunch provided. Full amount payable on booking.
