Liturgies this week

The Rosary The Rosary is prayed in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament Mass, Tuesday. – Saturday., before Mass.

Prayer for Mother’s Day

Holy God, you compared your own love for your people to the love of a mother for her children. Look with kindness on our mother who has shared in your creating love by the gift of her children.

We thank you for the joys and sorrows of her life, the giving and sharing, and especially for your love that has formed us in your image. Listen to our prayers and bless our mother who has nurtured and sustained us. Give her patience in abundance and let her find joy and satisfaction in all her work.

Glory and praise to you, loving God, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, and who reigns with you in the glory of heaven for ever and ever. Amen.

The Sacrament of the Sick – ideally celebrated in community, will be Thursday, May 14 at 2:30 pm. Those who are seriously ill, those of advanced age, those undergoing serious surgery or treat-ment and those in danger of death are invited. All who are baptized Catholics are candidates for the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Let us joyfully celebrate the healing of the Lord through His Church.

Food Bank - keeping it simpleNext Sunday is the third of the month, our traditional Food Bank Sunday. Your contribution does not require variety: it could be items of one kind - for instance cereals or soups pick up whatever number of that item that matches what you want to pay. That makes it a simple part of your next shopping trip. Justice and Peace Committee
